Campers and R.V.’s
Campers and/or recreational vehicles may not be parked for use as overnight accommodations on golf course property without prior approval from the golf shop.
Registration
All contestants must register in person with the PNGA prior to playing in the championship.
Registration will be setup outside the golf shop during the following times:
SUNDAY, AUGUST 11 11:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
MONDAY, AUGUST 12 6:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Stroke Play Pairings
Round 1 and Round 2 pairings will be released on Monday, July 29. Pairings will be emailed directly to participants as well as posted on the PNGA website and on the Championship Portal.
Match Play Pairings
Match play pairings will be available on the evening of Tuesday, August 13 after stroke play qualifying is complete. Brackets and starting times will be emailed directly to participants as well as posted on the PNGA website and on the Championship Portal.
Schedule
Competition will be in two stages.
STROKE PLAY – All players must complete the 36-hole stroke play qualifying round in order to determine the seeding for match play. The low 16 scores will make up the Championship Flight. Ties for the final Championship Flight spot(s) will be settled by a hole-by-hole playoff, which will begin immediately after the completion of the qualifying round. The remaining players will be placed in flights of 8 players based on qualifying score, with ties decided randomly. NOTE: If an uneven number of contestants enter and the formation of equal match play flights is not possible, then an alternate format may be used for the final flight. An alternate format may include additional stroke play rounds or fewer match play matches.
MATCH PLAY – The General Numerical Draw will be in effect. All matches played at scratch (no handicaps) and are single elimination.

Course Yardage
Stroke play qualifying will be setup at 5680 yards, par-72. Hole-by-hole yardages are available on the Championship Portal.
Practice Round
All contestants may play one complimentary practice round prior to the championship. Practice rounds will be available after 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 10 and Sunday, August 11. On Sunday, August 11, practice rounds will be limited to players ONLY (parents, siblings, caddies, etc. will not be permitted to play). Players may play additional practice rounds for $20 each. All starting times are based on availability and at the discretion of the golf shop staff.
Practice rounds may be scheduled starting on Tuesday, July 30 after the entry deadline. Tee times can be made by calling the golf shop at (360) 437-0272.
Food Service (No Host)
Niblick’s Café, which is located in the clubhouse, will be open during the following hours: Monday – Tuesday: 6:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday – Friday: 6:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Contestant’s Lunch (Hosted)
At Player Registration, all contestants will receive two (2) meal vouchers, which may be used in Niblick’s Café anytime Monday – Friday and will be valid for an entrée and a beverage.
Payment Methods
Cash, check and all major credit cards are accepted forms of payment.
Hours of Operation
The golf shop and driving range will be open each day from 6:00 a.m. until dusk each day.
Range Balls
Range balls will be provided to contestants on the driving range each day from 6:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Range balls may be purchased in the golf shop after 2:30 p.m.
Transportation
Players must not ride on any form of transportation during a stipulated round unless authorized by the Committee.
Pull Carts
Pull carts are permitted. Contestants should take pull carts around the outside edge of all greenside bunkers and around all teeing grounds.
Caddies
Host club caddies will not be available. A player may provide his own caddie. Caddies must be 18 years of age or younger. All caddies will be required to wear a PNGA caddie bib provided on the starting tee.
Spectator Carts
To provide an equal championship platform for all competitors, the use of automotive carts by spectators is not permitted at any time by the PNGA.
Championship Accommodations for Disabled Spectators
The PNGA is committed to providing an enjoyable spectator experience for people with disabilities at PNGA Championships. Requests from spectators seeking transportation onto the golf course due to a permanent disability, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), must be submitted to a PNGA staff member on site. While spectator carts are not allowed, the PNGA will make every effort to accommodate these requests by assigning a PNGA volunteer driver based on availability. The driver will transport the spectator to viewing locations throughout the golf course, not shot-by-shot or hole-by-hole.
Spectators with transportation needs should contact the PNGA Championship Department at (206) 526-1238 Ext. 5 prior to the championship so that arrangements can be made to have a driver on site.
Requests due to temporary injuries or impairments will not be granted.
Only spectators who have complied with the above procedures and met the requirements will be permitted to ride. Every possible effort will be made to ensure that spectators with permanent disabilities are able to view the competition.
Gallery
Galleries are permitted during the championship and may include parents and other relatives, golf professionals, etc. of a contestant. Contestants will ultimately be held responsible for the actions of gallery members.
Galleries must keep their distance from contestants at all times during a stipulated round. At least 25 yards and walking in the rough is recommended so as not to interfere with play. Coaching, intimidation or harassment of any kind will not be tolerated. Those violating this condition will immediately be asked to leave the golf course and may be refused gallery privileges and may also subject the player to being disqualified.
Club Care and Overnight storage
Club care and overnight storage will not be available.
Locker Room
The golf course does not have a locker room.
GHIN Score Posting
The PNGA will post and transmit the adjusted stroke play scores for all contestants on the USGA GHIN System for handicapping purposes. Contestants should post their adjusted match play scores. Players from Canada will have their stroke play scores sent to BC Golf for posting.
Awards Ceremony
Awards will be presented on Friday, August 16 upon completion of each match. PNGA hosted ice cream will be served. The awards ceremony for the Championship Flight will commence immediately after the 36-hole final match is complete at around 4:00 p.m.
Prizes
Kusak crystal prizes will be awarded as follows:
A) STROKE PLAY: A PNGA Championship Kusak crystal medal will be awarded to the qualifying Medalist. In the event of a tie for Medalist honors, a duplicate medal will be awarded.
B) MATCH PLAY: Kusak crystal trophies will be awarded to the champion, runner-up and semifinalists in the Championship Flight, and all other flight winners and runners-up.
C) HOLE-IN-ONE AND EAGLE AWARDS: Kusak crystal obelisks will be awarded to any contestant who scores a hole-in-one during either the stroke or match play portions of the championship or an eagle during the stroke play qualifying rounds.
The Champion’s name will also be engraved on the PNGA Junior Girls’ Amateur Championship Perpetual Trophy.
Exemptions
The 2019 Junior Girls’ Amateur Champion will receive an exemption into the 2020-2024 PNGA Junior Girls’ Amateur Championships and the 2012 PNGA Women’s Amateur Championship.

Dress Code
The PNGA expects all contestants and their caddies to wear suitable attire on the host club property throughout the duration of the championship, including practice rounds. Suitable attire does not include cutoffs, short shorts, tank tops, halters, jeans, or denim of any kind or color, tee shirts, bare midriff, spandex, sweat pants or unkempt clothing of any kind. Contestants must wear blouses or golf shirts. If a shirt is sleeveless, it must have a collar. Contestants must wear slacks, golf skirts or shorts. Skirts and shorts must be of an appropriate length and must meet the host club dress code policy. Hats and visors must not be worn in the clubhouse. Shoes and socks must be worn at all times on the golf course. Sandals of any kind, including sandals with soft spikes, are not allowed on the golf course at any time, including practice areas. If additional measures are required by the host club, they will be communicated to all contestants prior to the championship and must be adhered to. Gallery must adhere to the host club dress code policy. Failure to adhere to the dress code may result in disqualification and removal from the course.
Footwear
Shoes with traditionally designed spikes (regardless of composition, i.e., ceramic, plastic, etc.) or spikes, regardless of design, comprised either entirely or partially of metal (if such metal may come in contact with the course) are prohibited during the stipulated round. Penalty for breach of this condition: DISQUALIFICATION.
Conduct Code
The PNGA expects all contestants, caddies, gallery, and guests to exhibit proper conduct and behavior on the golf course and anywhere on club property during a PNGA championship. Unbecoming conduct or behavior may be grounds for immediate disqualification, at any time, from any PNGA event. The following are some examples of unbecoming conduct or behavior:
- Repeated use of loud, abusive, and/or profane language
- Throwing and/or breaking equipment (club, ball, etc.) in anger or frustration
- Damaging host club, PNGA, and/or fellow contestant property
- Public criticism or verbal abuse of host club, officials, volunteers or staff, and/or PNGA volunteers, staff or fellow contestants
- Public criticism of host club, officials, volunteers, or staff, and/or PNGA volunteers, staff or fellow contestants
- Potential endangerment of others
- Intentionally violating stated club policy
- Violation of PNGA Dress Code and/or Footwear Policy
- Other conduct deemed unbecoming
The Committee in charge of the competition shall be the sole judge of determining Conduct Code violations. NOTE: Unacceptable conduct includes, but is not limited to, smoking, drinking, or the use of illegal drugs.
Withdrawal & Refund Policy
All refunds prior to the entry deadline are subject to a $10 administrative fee. Refunds are not available after the closing deadline except for documented and approved medical reasons. Refunds approved after the closing deadline, and up until round one pairings are released, are subject to a $25 administrative fee.
NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED AFTER ROUND ONE PAIRINGS HAVE BEEN RELEASED.

During play of the championship, a “Withdrawal Form,” available from a PNGA staff member, must be completed by any competitor withdrawing. Entrants who unofficially withdraw, by not filling out a form or without sufficient reason, may not be granted entry into any future PNGA championship for a minimum of two years.
