Welcome to the 64th PNGA Junior Girls' Amateur Championship
CHAMPIONSHIP DETAILS
Date: August 12-16, 2019
Location: Port Ludlow Golf Club | Port Ludlow, Wash.
Eligibility: Entries are open to amateur female golfers who: a) are members in good standing of a PNGA member club; b) meet the age requirements; and c) have a USGA Handicap Index or Golf Canada Handicap Factor not exceeding 40.4 at the time of entry.
Age: Entrants must be 18 years of age or younger on August 16, 2019.
Format: The Championship will be conducted in two stages:
Stroke Play – All players must complete the 36-hole, stroke play qualifying. All flights and seeds will be determined by 36-hole qualifying scores. In the event of a tie for the Qualifying Medalist, duplicate medals will be awarded and seeding will be determined randomly. In the event of a tie for the final spot(s) in the Championship Flight of 16, a hole-by-hole playoff will be used to determine the qualifier(s). Ties, other than for the final spot(s) in the Championship Flight, will be determined randomly. NOTE: If there is an uneven number of entrants and the formation of equal match play flights is not possible, an alternate format may be used for the final flight. An alternate format may include additional stroke play rounds or fewer match play matches. NOTE: All players will advance to match play.
Match Play – The General Numerical Draw will be in effect. Championship Flight consists of 16 players. All other flights will have 8 players each. All matches are 18-holes and will be played at scratch (no handicaps). The Championship Flight will play two 18-hole matches (if you continue to win) on Thursday, and a 36-hole Championship Match on Friday. All remaining flights will play one 18-hole match each day. NOTE: This is a single elimination format.
Handicap Limit: 40.4
Field Limit: The field will be comprised of the first 48 entrants to submit an entry application. This championship runs concurrently with the PNGA Junior Boys' Amateur, which has a field limit of 96. The PNGA reserves the right to modify either field limit to achieve a full field of 144 players.
