CHAMPIONSHIP DETAILS
Date: July 8-13, 2019
Location: Tacoma Country & Golf Club | Lakewood, Wash.
Assisting Course: Chambers Bay | University Place, Wash.
**All match play will be played on Tacoma C&GC. Each player will play one round of stroke play qualifing at both Tacoma C&GC and Chambers Bay.
Eligibility: Entries are open to amateur golfers who: a) are members in good standing of a PNGA member club; and b) have a USGA Handicap Index or Golf Canada Handicap Factor not exceeding 4.4 at the close of entry.
There is no pre-qualifying for this Championship. The field of 168 will be filled by Presidential Invitations and exempt players followed by the lowest USGA Handicap Indexes and Golf Canada Handicap Factors at the close of entry.
A maximum number of 32 Presidential Invitations may be extended to qualified individuals. Individuals seeking a Presidential Invitation must submit a resume to the PNGA office (scotty.crouthamel@thepnga.org) outlining their major accomplishments by June 1, 2019. Presidential Invitations may be granted to both PNGA members and non-PNGA members.
Format: The championship will be conducted in two stages:
Stroke Play – All players must complete the 36-hole stroke play qualifying in order to determine the 64 players who will advance to match play. In the event of a tie for the final qualifying spot(s), a sudden-death playoff will be used to determine the qualifiers. In the event of a tie for the Qualifying Medalist, a sudden-death playoff will commence.
Match Play – The General Numerical Draw will be in effect. Single elimination match play. 36-hole Championship Final Match. All other matches are 18 holes.

- Round 1: Monday (84 players @ Chambers Bay & 84 players at Tacoma C&GC)
- Round 2: Tuesday (84 players @ Chambers Bay & 84 players at Tacoma C&GC)
- Round of 64: Wednesday (Tacoma C&GC)
- Round of 32: Thursday (Tacoma C&GC)
- Round of 16: Thursday (Tacoma C&GC)
- Quarterfinals: Friday (Tacoma C&GC)
- Semifinals: Friday (Tacoma C&GC)
- Finals: Saturday (Tacoma C&GC)
Handicap Limit: 4.4
Field Limit: 168 (Field fill method: Exempt players, then Presidential Exemptions, then players with lowest handicap indexes/factors at entry deadline)
Entry Fee: $225 (U.S. Funds)
Entry Deadline: June 17, 2019 at 4:30 p.m. (PDT)
Carts: The use of automotive carts during the championship will not be permitted. Spectator carts will not be permitted.
Caddies: A player may provide his own caddie. Host club caddies will not be available at Tacoma C&GC. Caddies are available at Chambers Bay and can be scheduled by calling the Caddie Department at (253) 552-4869.
Entry Includes: Guaranteed at least two rounds of championship play, one hosted practice round, warm up range balls each day, tee prize, one hosted lunch, and Kusak crystal awards for top-finishers.
Stroke Limit: Players must return a score within 12 strokes of the course rating in at least one of the rounds. Failure to do so will disqualify the player from future entry into the PNGA Men's Amateur Championship for a minimum of two years.

Champion earns an exemption into the 26th Sahalee Players Championship to be held at Sahalee Country Club in Sammamish, WA in July of 2020.
