FIELD LIMIT:
48 players (12 players from each state and provincial golf association)
PLAYER SELECTION PER ASSOCIATION:
4 – Men Mid-Amateurs (25 and over)
2 – Men Master-40 (40 and over)
2 – Senior Men (55 and over)
2 – Women Mid-Amateurs (25 and over)
2 – Senior Women (50 and over)
12 total players from each association, selected at each association’s discretion
MATCH DRAW:
Prior to the competition the four association Honorary Captains (Presidents) will participate in picking the matches for Day 1. The PNGA has adopted a formula to allow the associations to compete against one another on an equitable rotational basis.
COMPETITION – MATCH PLAY
Each Association will play a total of 24 matches. One point is awarded for each match won. A half point is awarded for each match that ends all square. The side with the most points at the conclusion of the PNGA Cup wins.
Men
Day One (morning) Four-Ball Matches: One side plays their better ball against the better ball of the other side. Mid-Amateurs will be teamed together (2 teams), Master-40 Amateurs will be teamed together (1 team) and Senior Amateurs will be teamed together (1 team). Captains will decide team members for the Mid-Amateurs.
Day One (afternoon) Foursome Matches: Players play alternately from the teeing grounds and alternately during play of each hole. Mid-Amateurs will be teamed together (2 teams), Master-40 Amateurs will be teamed together (1 team) and Senior Amateurs will be teamed together (1 team).
Day Two (morning) Singles Matches: Players will compete in singles matches within their like category (i.e., Mid-Amateur, Master-40 Amateur, Senior Amateur).
Women
Day One (morning) Four-Ball Matches: The sides play their better ball against the better ball of the other side. Mid-Amateurs will be teamed together (1 team) and Senior Amateurs will be teamed together (1 team).

PLAYOFF:
If there is a tie between teams after scheduled play, a playoff format is in place where the tie will be broken based on the head to head record of the teams involved.
CAPTAINS:
Captains are the current President of each respective association. If the President is not available the association may appoint a substitute.
ADMINISTRATION:
The PNGA, in cooperation with BC Golf, IGA, OGA and WSGA will oversee all administrative duties for the championship (i.e., pairings, programs, player confirmations, coordination with club, food and beverage, prizes, etc.).
SITE SELECTION:
The site for the PNGA Cup rotates, in order, between Washington, British Columbia, Oregon, and Idaho. The PNGA, with cooperation from respective provincial and state associations, will coordinate site selection.
PRIZES:
A perpetual crystal trophy and base will be awarded to the winning association to house for the following year. The PNGA offices will house the permanent silver Perpetual “PNGA Cup”. Modest trophies will also be presented to each member of the winning team, including the Captain.
TEAM ATTIRE:
Players will be encouraged to wear matching team uniforms (i.e., shirts, outerwear, etc.) with the association logo and PNGA Cup logo, provided by their respective association.
