2017 LGA CLUB TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

GENERAL INFORMATION

 

1.     In the event of a tie for the Championship, Championship Club Team will be determined as follows: 1st tie-break: Compare scores of the 5th players for Sunday’s play.  2nd tie-break: Compare scores of the 6th players for Sunday’s play.  3rd tie-break: Compare scores of the 3rd Four-Ball team for Saturday’s play.  4th tie-break: As determined by Championship Committee

 

2.     All other ties, which determine prizes or recognition, will be decided as per policy above.

 

3.     Competitors must be neat in appearance and wear appropriate attire.  No gym shorts, cutoffs, blue jeans, tee shirts, etc.  Shorts must be Bermuda length.  Use of cell phones is prohibited on course during competition (The Committee reserves the right to disqualify a competitor for a breach of the policy regarding cell phone usage; See Decision 33-7/8). Important Note: Contraband Bayou is a spikeless facility and all competitors will be required to wear spikeless shoes.

 

4.     Play will be governed by the Rules of Golf as approved by the USGA and R&A and the LGA Rules of Play Card. Brands of golf balls used must be on the USGA’s latest List of Conforming Golf Balls. Please see Pace of Play memorandum available at Club Team Championship.

 

5.     Format of Play: Saturday’s play will consist of three Four-Ball teams per six man Club Team. Best two Four-Ball scores will count as Club Team’s score for that day. Sunday’s play will consist of individual play. Best four individual scores will count as Club Team’s score for that day. Winner determined by low total of two Four-Ball and four individual scores for tournament.

 

6.     Prizes: Championship Team will receive Championship trophy and six individual crystal pieces. Championship team members will also receive $200 gift certificates.  Runner-up team members will receive $150 gift certificates. Third place team members will receive $125 gift certificates.

 

7.     Food and Beverage will be available for purchase on a cash basis at Contraband Bayou during the course of the Championship.  No outside food and beverage or coolers will be permitted..
