Format: 36 holes stroke play; 18 holes per day.
Start Times:
Boys Championship Flight & Girls First Flights
- Saturday, September 7 – 12:00 p.m. Tee Times; off 1 and 10 – Arcade Creek
- Sunday, September 8 – 7:30 a.m. Tee Times; off 1 and 10 - Alister Mackenzie
*Players teeing off hole #10 on Sunday must check in at the JTNC tent at least 20 minutes before their tee time to allow enough time for transportation.
Girls Championship & Boys First Flights

Registration: There will be no registration Saturday or Sunday, players should arrive at their designated tee at least 10 minutes prior to their start time. We will have an information table with a JTNC tent set up by the MacKenzie putting green where you will be able to see a pairings list and pick up a boxed lunch.
Shuttling:
*Saturday and Sunday on the Alister Mackenzie course only:
Players must meet at the shuttle at least 20 minutes before their tee time. The shuttle will be located on the MacKenzie putting green next to where the information table is. It is the players’ responsibility to be at the tee on time and ready to play. The NCGA will be shuttling on a strict schedule and will not be responsible for players who arrive late to the shuttle pick up. There will be no shuttle on the Arcade Creek Course.
Time of Starting: Players are responsible for showing up and ready to play on time to their correct tee. The player will be penalized for arriving after their time and disqualified for showing up after 4 minutes 59 seconds after their starting time. The official starting time will be posted at jtnc.org. The course will not page players to the tee.
Range: Golf balls will be available at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday and 6:30 a.m. on Sunday. A range attendant will hand out baskets of balls.
Golf Shop & Superstore: The golf shop hours will be 6:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., the Super Store hours will be 8 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Sunday.
Practice Round: Practice rounds are available, please contact the golf shop for tee time and rate information. Haggin Oaks is a Youth On Course participating facility and will offer special rates for YOC members. Parents will pay the going rate.
Food Service: Food will be available both days for players. Saturday, a box lunch will be available at the picnic tables next to the practice putting green. Sunday, a BBQ will be available at the completion of the round. Players requiring special dietary needs, please contact Haley ahead of time. If you do not contact the JTNC ahead of time you can also request a special lunch at the golf course.
Restaurant: The restaurant will be open for breakfast and lunch. Restaurant hours are 6:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Second Round Pairings: Second round pairings will be available after all first round scores are posted. The pairing will be available at jtnc.org on the contestant information page.
Rules of Play: The 2019 USGA Rules of Golf are in effect and are supplemented by the JTNC rules card. The committee will provide any additional Local Rules needed on the tournament days. It is the individual player’s responsibility to know the conditions of the competition.
Walking: Players must walk at all times, except as authorized by the Committee. Caddies are not permitted. Pull or push carts are permitted.
Dress Code: Players and Spectators must be properly attired both on the golf course and on the premises of the club. Blue jeans, designer jeans, T-shirts and tank tops are prohibited. Golf shirts must be worn and shorts must be of appropriate length (no jean shorts). This dress code will be used at all JTNC competitions in conjunction with any additional dress code restrictions of the particular golf course involved. A violation of this dress code must be rectified without undue delay or the player will not be allowed to continue play. Spectators violating will be asked to change or leave the club.
Spectators: Spectators must wear proper attire while at the club. Please see the Dress Code policy above.
The use of electronic devices should be limited to areas where their use will not distract players on the course. Spectators must maintain at least 25 yards from the players and avoid even the appearance of imparting advice or assisting the player in any way. A spectator may approach a player briefly to hand clothing, food or beverages to the player, but should not have prolonged conversations. Please walk ahead of the group you are following and stay in the rough or near the cart paths. Do not delay groups by walking slowly. Spectators must stay off the greens and out of the bunkers at all times. Spectators violating these policies may be asked to leave the course. Spectator carts are prohibited. Handicap carts will be available for $17 per person. Individuals must have documentation and be cleared by the JTNC staff first before purchasing a cart. Please find a JTNC staff on Sunday to be cleared for a cart.
Ties: In the event of ties, there will be a play-off for first place. Ties for second and third will be decided using the USGA’s method for matching cards. In a competition with a multiple tee start, the last nine holes will be holes 10-18.
Footwear: The Local Rule as prescribed in Section 8 of the Committee Procedures is in effect. Model Local Rule G-7. Penalty for breach of Local Rule – see Rule 4.3.
Withdrawals & No Shows: Players who enter a JTNC event and wish to withdraw for any reason MUST notify the JTNC/NCGA staff at the Rules and Competitions department at (831) 625-4653. Failure to notify the JTNC/NCGA will result in a NO SHOW and the player will receive a one-year suspension from all JTNC events for the following calendar year following the infraction. A player who only contacts the course and NOT the JTNC/NCGA will incur the suspension.
