The Carolinas Women's Four-Ball Championship, which began in 1978, is the oldest women's championship founded by the CGA. The Senior Women's Four-Ball Championship began in 2015 and is open to players who have reached their 50th birthday by the start of competition. The championships are conducted at 36 holes of four-ball stroke play and include gross scores only. Teams are flighted within their championship based on 18-hole scores, depending on the number of entries. Entry is open to any female amateur golfer who maintains a residence in North Carolina or South Carolina, is a member in good standing of a club which is a member of the Carolinas Golf Association and has an active GHIN® USGA Handicap Index®.
