2025 BDGA Mid-Amateur Championship

Terms of the Competition
ELIGIBILITY
This championship is open to male amateur golfers who meet the following requirements:
- Membership: All players must have an active USGA GHIN Handicap at a BDGA Member Club, or reside in BDGA territory and have an active GHIN Handicap through NYSGA eClub of Western New York (Residency Required). Canadian citizens must belong to a BDGA member club.
- Age: Entrants must be at least 25 years of age as of June 3, 2025.
- Handicap Index: Have a USGA Handicap Index of 14.0 or less.
ENTRIES, DEADLINE, AND REFUND POLICY
- Entries: An entry must be submitted online with payment prior to the deadline. Late entries will not be accepted, regardless of reason.
- Entry Fee: $140. This includes the green, cart and range fees, lunches, prizes and awards.
- Deadline: Entries must be received prior to the deadline (12PM EST on Thursday, May 29, 2025). Late entries will not be accepted, regardless of reason.

FIELD SIZE AND WAITLIST
The field for the BDGA Mid-Amateur Championship is limited to 78 players. The field will be selected in order of players' USGA Handicap Index* as of May 29th, 2025. Remaining players will be placed on a waitlist.
*All handicap indexes are subject to review
FORMAT
The format is 36 holes of individual stroke play, with a cut to the low 30 players and ties after 18 holes.
RULES
All play will be governed by the USGA Rules of Golf. Players will be provided a "Notice to Players" rules sheet containing local rules and conditions. The BDGA will have volunteer Rules Officials on the course to provide rulings and answer questions.

EXEMPTIONS
The winner of the 2025 BDGA Mid-Amateur Championship will be exempt into the 2025 NYS Men's Mid-Amateur Championship.
TEE TIME REQUESTS
The BDGA will make every effort to accommodate tee time requests, which must be submitted no later than 12PM on Thursday, May 29th (click here). Pairing requests will not be accepted.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE
Boxed lunches will be available for players during both competition rounds.
GOLF CARTS AND DRIVING RANGE
The use of golf carts and the driving range is included in the entry fee. The NYSGA's One-Seat Policy is in effect.
CADDIES
Players are allowed to bring their own caddies.
SPECTATORS
Spectators are allowed. All spectators must walk.

PRIZES AND AWARDS
The champion and runner-up will each receive a trophy. Additional top finishers will receive prizes as gift certificates from the pro shop.
