Mission

Central Links Golf, in partnership with other Central Region Golf Associations, is excited to announce the Midwest Adaptive Open to be held September 10-11, 2025. This new Championship will be played at Sand Creek Station in Newton, Kansas, home of the 3rd U.S. Adaptive Open Championship, hosted by the USGA in the summer of 2024. The Midwest Adaptive Open will be open to golfers of various classifications of impairments, such as individuals with arm and leg impairments, amputations, blind golfers and those with neurological and intellectual impairments.

 

Schedule of Events
Tuesday, September 9 -- Practice Round Day
Wednesday, September 10 -- First round (18 holes) - 8:00 am - 10:00 am (Off #1 and #10)
Thursday, September 11 -- Second round (18 holes) - 8:00 am - 10:00 am (Off #1 and #10) Award Ceremony to follow

Information on social events will be announced closer to the championship.

Eligibility
Open to anyone from around the country, not just Central Region members, who have a handicap index of 36.4 or lower. All players, including professionals, must have an up to date handicap index through the GHIN system. Players must also have a valid WR4GD Pass. Entry Fee and Deadline
$175.  Deadline for entry is Friday, August 8th, 2025 at 11:59 PM.  Maximum field size is 60 players.

Format
36 Hole Maximum Score Stroke Play. The maximum score for a hole is 10. Players are asked to pick up if they reach the maximum score. Players will compete for an overall Men's and Women's title, as well as within their Impairment category.

Complimentary Player Meals
Lunch will be provided to all players during the two days of the championship as part of your entry fee.  Lunch will be available from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Breakfast will also be provided each morning.

Yardages will be posted to this page closer to the tournament.


Pairings
Tournament pairings will be posted and emailed to participants by end of day on September 3rd.

Practice Round
A practice round is included in your entry fee. The designated practice round day with be Tuesday, September 9th. To schedule your practice round tee time, please contact the golf course pro shop directly and let them know you are part of the Midwest Adaptive Open.

Clubhouse and Practice Facilities
Clubhouse and practice facilities open one hour prior to the first starting time.  Practice facilities are for tournament contestants use only.

Carts, Spectators and Caddies
Carts are included as part of your entry fee. Players are permitted to walk if interested. All participants will receive their own golf cart. 

Players are responsible for bringing a caddie and/or player aide should they choose to use one. Each group will have a volunteer to assist with live scoring. 

Spectator carts may be available at the discretion and cost determined by the host club.
 

Hotels

A hotel block will be announced in the coming weeks.
 

Registration
There will be no registration at this event.  You are responsible to be at your assigned starting tee at least ten (10) minutes prior to your scheduled starting time.  This will give you adequate time to receive instructions and information from the Starter.

Method of Payments
Sand Creek Station Golf Course accepts cash or credit card for all purchases.
 

When Competition is Final
The competition is final when the trophy has been presented to the winner or, in the absence of a prize ceremony, when all scores have been approved by the Committee. The Result of a match is final when the Committee has approved the result as posted on the public scoreboard.
