General Information
- The competitions will take place on the Jubilee, Eden, Strathtyrum & Balgove Courses
- Competitors wishing to play a practice round should contact St Andrews Links' Reservation Department no later than two weeks in advance on 01334 466666 to book a tee time (otherwise, you may only book the day before you wish to play). Green fees will apply and are not included.
- Entry forms must be received by midnight on Thursday, 6 March
- Late entries will only be accepted if there are available tee times and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis
- Push Trolleys will be available free of charge on the day of competition. Electric Trolleys are available to hire at a charge of £20 and are best booked in advance via email: ronald.gordon@standrews.com
- All competitors must register at least 30 minutes before their tee time on the day of competition
- Registration will take place in the foyer of the Eden Clubhouse, which will be sign-posted on the day
- Cancellation of entry must be communicated to the Championship Department at least 48 hours before play. A full refund of the entrance fee will be allowed. There will be no refund if cancelled within 48 hours of play, unless in exceptional circumstances.
Competition Rules
- Age (on the day of competition - 26.03.25)/ Handicap (on the day of registration - change of competition will not be permitted)
- Balgove 'Flag Event' (Under 9s): Ages 7-8
- Balgove 'Flag Event' (Under 12s): Ages 9-11
- Strathtyrum 18-Hole: Up to a maximum age of 18/ Handicap restrictions apply (16.5 to 36.4)
- Eden 18-Hole (Sir Michael Bonallack Championship): Up to a maximum age of 18/ Handicap restrictions apply (5.5 to 16.4)
- Jubilee 18-Hole (Tom Morris & Lady Bonallack Championships): Up to a maximum age of 18/ Handicap restrictions apply (5.4 and under)
- Players cannot change competition once their registration has been submitted. The handicap each player registers under will permit them to enter the competition they qualify for; any handicap changes between registration and the competition date will not change the competition they play.
- No trolley pullers or caddies are allowed. If during any of our competitions a player is injured, the committee may in exceptional circumstances appoint a trolley puller.
- Parents/Guardians/Relatives are not permitted on the course, at any stage. Failure to comply WILL result in disqualification. Committee decision on this is final.
- There will be several competition categories running on the day, organised by course:
Jubilee (Tom Morris & Lady Bonallack Championships) - Handicaps 5.4 and under
- There will only be a Gross Category for this Championship:
- Gross Category - Boys 1st (Tom Morris Champion)/ Girls 1st (Lady Bonallack Champion). 2nd, 3rd & 4th place.
- Entry Fee: £55.00 per person
- Should entries exceed tee times we have available, a handicap ballot will be brought in. Any competitors excluded based on this ballot will be entered into the Eden Competition
Eden (Sir Michael Bonallack Championship) - Handicaps 5.5 to 16.4
- There will be two categories for this Championship:
- Gross Category - 1st (Sir Michael Bonallack Champion), 2nd & 3rd place
- Net Category - 1st & 2nd place
- Entry Fee: £37.00 per person
- Should entries exceed tee times we have available, a handicap ballot will be brought in. Any competitors excluded based on this ballot, will be given entry into the Strathtyrum Competition
Strathtyrum 18-Hole - Handicaps 16.5 to 36.4
- This will be a net competition only, awarding 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th place
- Entry Fee: £27.00 per person
Balgove 'Flag Event' - Under 12s - No Handicap Required (Age: 9-11)
- This will be a flag competition only, awarding 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th place
- Entry Fee: £11.00 per person
Balgove 'Flag Event' - Under 9s - No Handicap Required (Age: 7-8)
- This will be a flag competition only, awarding 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th place
- Entry Fee: £11.00 per person
Tees of the Day:
- Jubilee Course – Boys play from Black Tees, Girls play from Green Tees
- Eden Course– Boys play from Black Tees, Girls play from Green Tees
- Strathtyrum Courses – Boys play from Blue Tees, Girls play from Green Tees
- Balgove Course – Boys and Girls play from Black Tees
Please Note:
- Fairway mats will be in operation
- The committee reserves the right to make any changes to starting times or the method of play, which may become necessary in order to overcome difficulties arising during any of our competitions and to ensure as equitable a result as possible
- Each competition shall be played in accordance with the Rules of Golf and Local Rules as laid down by the committee
- Any disputes will be settled by the committee whose decision will be final
