Format:

 

• Players will be split into groups of 8 or 12 in handicap order to create flights.
• Pairs will be drawn at random within each flight.
• Play will be Four Ball BetterBall Stableford (85% handicap using Handicap Index on the day).
• Men - Black, Gold or White Tees (depending on handicaps).  Women - White Tees.
• The pair with the best 36 hole score in each flight will progress to the Shootout.
• Ties will decided on countback over the last 18, 9, 6, 3, 1 holes.
• The Shootout will be Foursomes and played to the 9th Shore green.  Each flight will play from different yardages at +/- 10 yard differentials:
  • Chardonnay - 170 yards
  • Rioja - 160 yards
  • Malbec - 150 yards
  • Grenache Noir - 140 yards
  • Merlot + Cabernet Sauvignon - 130 yards
  • Rose - 120 yards
  • Sauvignon Blanc - 110 yards

• There will be a separate Shootout for the Chocolate flight (juniors) and the top 3 pairs after 36 holes will take part.
• There will be no handicap strokes in the Shootout.
• The highest scores will be eliminated and the hole replayed with the other partner playing the first shot.
• In the event of a tie, there will be a replay with the other partner playing the first shot.  Should the Shootout go on too long, the Committee may decide that all players will play one shot each with the nearest to the pin determining the winners/eliminated.
• The winners will be the last team remaining.
• Cut off date for handicaps for flights will be Thursday 1st May.
