  • When the driving range is open it should be available to all Raffles members and other players on the course that day.  Raffles should be recognized for the opening of the range on those days.
  • Raffles will pay the 150,000 costs per day that New Kuta will charge us to have the range opened on Raffles competition days.
  • There are three categories of members who have access to the range, see below.  New Kuta guests would have to pay at registration.
  • The initiative will be funded from the 'nearest the pin allocation' from registration fees as, at this stage, we are not offering nearest the pins awards.

1.  Raffles members who are New Kuta members don't need to pay.
2.  Raffles members who are not New Kuta members will have to pay for their driving range balls.
3.  Non-Raffles members should discuss with New Kuta reception the use of the range. (It would be nice if these people were encouraged

to give a donation to the caddie fund for the range being open.

The Australian situation and recommendations from Golf Australia.  Raffles notes that it varies from state to state.

As Raffles is affiliated directly with Golf Western Australia members attention is drawn to the following sentence from the golf WA section of the above site.  (Raffles notes that as of this day, Courses in Victoria are closed)

GolfWA’s advice is state-specific and therefore should be treated as the most updated advice for all clubs and facilities across Western Australia. It states that golf cannot be played in groups of 2 or more unless people normally reside together.

Changes to process for normal Domestic Events

Re COVID-19

Updated 24th March

The situation can change quickly.  it is important to check regularly for updates

Raffles Golf Club is a recognised sporting club in the Bali Community.  It takes pride in its relationships with the various parts of the Balinese community, it looks after its Bali friends and takes these relationships seriously.

Raffles Golf Club is very well placed to have all its administration and golf event organisation online.

With this in mind, the following measures have been instigated for the weekly normal events held by the club during the present health situation.  The club needs a clear and concise understanding of the numbers of players in each event so it provides a safe, ‘social distanced’ environment for golf by members/guests and also for the communities that support their golf and social needs.

Raffles advises that the caddie rotation at Pandawa and New Kuta has been changed because of the present situation. Members should note that because of this change they need to book their preferred caddie the day before an event and as long as this caddie informs the caddie master the day before the event the member should still have the caddie of their choice.

At Bali National Golf Course, we have been advised there is no preferred caddie option.

Courses are considering one player per cart.  New Kuta has advised of new cleaning and sanitising efforts for carts in the restaurant and in the Members’ change rooms.

Raffles Golf Club has implemented the following:

  • Events will be advertised on the Raffles website as normal and registrations accepted online.
  • Registration & pairing requests can also occur by emailing info@rafflesgolfclub.com or texting WhatsApp +62 8124655281
  • Registration closes at 4 pm the day before an event. It is better to register and withdraw than to not register at all.
  • Members and guests can request single cart use when registering.  It is the members and guest responsibility to advise the course and to pay the additional fee if (if required) on paying their Green, Cart & Caddies Fee
  • Members can cancel their registration at any time up to 1 hour before any event.
  • Raffles will allow varied tee times on the day of the event, before the normal event times of 8am Friday, 12.00 pm Wednesday and 12.30 on Sunday.  As an example, members can play in the Sunday competition in the morning by registering on the Raffles tee sheet (or a conversation with the event manager any day before the event) and by contacting New Kuta Golf Course for a tee time.  New Kuta and Raffles fees paid as normal.  Members will be able to use the GG app by using their Raffles registered email address.
  • Members and guests have the option to meet in the restaurant or to meet near the carts at the starter.
  • Following their round members are welcome to gather in the restaurant or to leave immediately.
  • The results of the round will be posted to the television screen in the restaurant, announced informally and results will be available on the website and hour after the event.
  • There will be no reminders or speeches, these will be covered in the weekly operations email all members receive.
  • Prizes will be placed in sealed envelopes and collected from the admin desk (Golf Genius) or will be kept securely until claimed.
  • Any social rounds of golf with a card marked by a Raffles member can be submitted for handicap purposes
  • Raffles response/advice on  GA - Temp Modifications to the GA & RANDA Rules of Golf click here

New Kuta Golf Course Rates until the end of March Are:

  • NKG Members Weekday 300K
  • NKG Members Weekend 400K.
  • KTP rate  Weekday 550K
  • KTP Weekend  1,700,000K
  • KITAS rate weekday 750 K
  • KITAS  Weekend 1,700,000
  • Single cart use 75

As always members are encouraged to remember their golf etiquette.  And in these times when we focus on each other’s health, not to be concerned if a fellow member doesn’t want to shake your hand or be too close to you.  This etiquette should also be extended to golf course staff, especially the caddies

Raffles Golf Club is a recognised sporting club in the Bali Community.  It takes pride in its relationships with the various parts of the Balinese community, it looks after its Bali friends and takes these relationships seriously.  The Club doesn’t want to cancel weekly events as the impact on those we support would be significant.
