5.      Volunteers Needed - The MPA is looking for about 4-6 volunteers to run a scoring station both Friday and/or Saturday.  If you have a parent, assistant coach, a student looking for community service hours that is willing to help, and knows how to use their cell phone, we could really use them and this is their chance to be part of the action.  The scoring stations will be fixed, so they must bring warm clothes, a chair, water, and their phone and help score the event from the course.  It is very easy, and we will show them how.  The more volunteers the more real time the scoring will be!  Please email Brian at brian@mainegolf.org if you have individuals that would like to volunteer or notify Gerry Durgin at gedurgin@gmail.com

6.      Registration – Registration will take place outside of the scoring building.  Only the coach needs to register their team/individual.

7.      Restrooms – Restrooms in the clubhouse will be marked and available, as well as outdoor facilities.

8.      Merchandising – There will be MPA championship merchandise available for sale at this year’s championship. Northwest Designs (NWD) is the Official Championship Merchandiser for the Maine Principals’ Association. Items will be printed on-site, and apparel will be able to be customized, too.  In addition to being on-site, items are also available online before and after the events, too: https://nwd.ink/s/mpa/maine-state-golf-championships/.

9.      Food & Water– Food and water will be sold in the club house for “grab-n-go” service.

10. Individual Golfers – Those golfers that have qualified for the individual championship must be accompanied by a certified coach.

11. Awards Ceremony – Teams that finish first or second in the team scoring, and those individuals that finish in the top 10 are asked to stay for an awards ceremony.  All others are asked to leave upon completion of their round.

12. Weather Conditions – In the event of a weather delay we would ask for buses or vans used to transport the athletes and coaches to remain on site to be used as a shelter.
