18 holes of individual stroke play for () qualifying spots and ( )alternate spots to be determined to advance to the 2025 U.S. Amateur Championship to be played

PRACTICE ROUND

One practice round per player and practice rounds are for players only. Practice rounds will be available on the designated dates and times below. Please call Hawks Ridge Golf Club to reserve your practice round starting time. Practice round cart and range fee is $50 plus tax and must be paid regardless of whether or not the player chooses to walk or ride. Credit cards ONLY will be accepted methods of payment in the golf shop. Contact the golf shop for practice round availability at (770) 205-6886.  Practice rounds will be available for based on availability from July 6-20 and on Sunday, July 21 for out-of-town players.

GOLF SHOP & DRIVING RANGE

The golf shop and driving range will open at 6:30 a.m. the day of qualifying.

STARTING TIMES

Starting times for competition play will be assigned by the USGA/GSGA and posted on the event portal  before the competition starts. You may visit www.gsga.org for complete pairing information.

REGISTRATION

No formal registration will be held on site. Players should arrive at their assigned starting tee ten minutes before their starting time to allow for the starter to go over instructions and rules of play. Player withdrawals must be called in to the GSGA office at (678) 324-5974 or e-mailed to radams@gsga.org.

CARTS

Practice cart and range fees are $50 plus tax. Credit cards ONLY will be accepted.   Spectator carts are strictly prohibited in all instances.

CADDIES

Players may provide their own caddie.

PRIZE

A Silver medal will be presented to the low scorer at the conclusion of the qualifying round.

RULES OF PLAY/PACE OF PLAY/CART POLICY

The USGA Rules of Play, Pace of Play and Cart Policies shall be in effect. Click here to view policies.

 

The One Ball Rules is NOT in effect.

Distance measuring devices are permitted provided they measure distance only.

Green reading materials are permitted if they meet allowable scale requirements.

Metal spikes are PROHIBITED for all players.

PREFERED LIES

Per the USGA, for all USGA Championships and qualifying rounds, the following policy is in effect: A Local Rule authorizing “Preferred Lies” or “Winter Rules” is NEVER permitted.

FOOD SERVICE

 

PERSONAL APPEARANCE

In Local and Final Qualifying stages and the Championship proper, players must be neat in appearance with respect to clothing and personal grooming. The Committee in charge decides whether this requirement has been met and has the authority to withdraw the entry of a player who does not comply. The wearing of short pants is prohibited in the Championship proper but is permissible in Local and Final Qualifying provided the host club does not have a dress code prohibiting such.
