MEMORANDUM TO PLAYERS
FORMAT, QUALIFYING PLACES, AND TIES
- FORMAT. This qualifier's format is 18-holes of individual stroke play.
- QUALIFYING SPOTS. The field of 31 contestants will compete for 2 qualifying places and 2 alternate positions.
- PLAYOFF. A hole-by-hole playoff will be used to break a tie for the final qualifying spot, first alternate, and/or second alternate. All announcements regarding the play-off will be made at the scoring area immediately upon completion of play.

WITHDRAWALS

DRIVING RANGE MAP
The driving range at Seven Oaks is located a short drive from the clubhouse, click here to view the map. Players must drive (or be driven) to the driving range, a shuttle service will not be available.The range will open at 6:00am and with balls provided compliments of the NYSGA.
COURSE YARDAGE
REGISTRATION AND START OF PLAY
Players may (but aren't required to) register in the golf shop to confirm their starting time. Players should report to the 1st tee ten (10) minutes prior to their starting time for announcements.
PRACTICE ROUNDS
Practice rounds are available on June 18 (and other dates) for $40 - call the pro shop 315-824-1432 to schedule a tee time. Parents/caddies/etc. are not permitted to play on June 18 to ensure there are enough tee times for all players.
CADDIES
A player may bring their own caddie or carry their own clubs. There are no caddies available through the host club. A player is not required to employ a caddie for any stage of the Championship.
- Exception: A player may NOT use a parent, step-parent, or a guardian as a caddie during Qualifying or the Championship proper.
PUSH CARTS
The use of a pull cart is approved for this qualifier. Contact the host club to inquire about the availability to rent a push cart. Electronic golf bag carts are permitted if there is no seat attachment.
FOOD SERVICE
The Seven Oaks clubhouse will be open for lunch and dinner (cash/credit). The NYSGA will provide water and snacks on the course and at starting/scoring.
LIVE SCORING
Live scoring via the Golf Genius mobile app is required of one player (or caddie). Please download the "Golf Genius" in advance of your arrival to their starting hole.

LOCAL RULES AND CONDITIONS
Listed below are a number of important Conditions of Competition and Local Rules for this qualifier.
- RULES OF GOLF; WHEN COMPETITION IS FINAL. Play will be governed by The Rules of Golf as approved by the USGA and R&A. Questions are to be referred to the NYSGA Rules Committee, whose decision will be final. The result of this qualifier is final when the qualifier awards have been presented.
- USGA LOCAL RULES AND TERMS OF THE COMPETITION (HARD CARD). Click here.
- GROOVE CONDITION. The players’ clubs must conform to the grooves and punch mark specifications in The Rules of Golf that are effective from January 1, 2010. See Model Local Rule G-2. The exception for Ping Eye2 Irons manufactured before March 31, 1990 is not in effect. (click here).
- CONFORMING BALLS AND DRIVER HEADS. Visit the USGA website for a list of approved golf balls (click here) and driver heads (click here).
- ONE BALL RULE. Is NOT in effect for any USGA qualifying rounds in 2024.
- DISTANCE MEASURING DEVICES. For all USGA qualifying rounds, the use of distance measuring devices to measure distance only is permitted.
PROHIBITING USE OF MOTORIZED TRANSPORTATION (LOCAL RULE G-6)
Players must not ride on any form of transportation during a stipulated round unless authorized by the Committee. The optional condition prescribed in Section 8 of the Committee Procedures is in effect will be in effect. A breach will result in the general penalty, two-strokes, on each hole where the breach occurred.
REQUESTING USE OF A CART
A disabled player or caddie may be permitted to use a golf cart as an accommodation to their ability. As required by the ADA, the USGA will evaluate such requests on a case-by-case basis. To learn more and to submit the required form, click here.
SPECTATOR CARTS
A disabled spectator may be permitted to use a golf cart. As required by the ADA, the NYSGA will evaluate such requests on a case-by-case basis. To complete and return the required form, click here.
PACE OF PLAY
It is a condition that players must play without undue delay. The NYSGA's Pace of Policy is in effect.
EVACUATION PLAN
In the event of a discontinuance of play during the qualifier, players must adhere to the evacuation plan located on the reverse of the Hole Location sheet.
