The Carolinas Senior Women's Amateur Championship began in 1999. The championship determines the senior women's champion of the Carolinas. Beginning in 2023, the Carolinas Super Senior Women's Amateur has been held concurrently with the Carolinas Senior Women's Amateur. Both championships are conducted at 36 holes of stroke play. The competition includes gross and net scores and prizes are given for gross and net winners in each flight. Players are flighted within their championship based on 18-hole Round 1 scores. Entry is open to any female amateur golfer who has reached her 50th birthday by the tournament start date (Carolinas Senior Women's Amateur) or who has reached her 65th birthday by the tournament start date (Carolinas Super Senior Women's Amateur), maintains a residence in North Carolina or South Carolina, is a member in good standing of a club which is a member of the Carolinas Golf Association and has an active USGA Handicap Index®.
