2024 Father Daughter Modified Scotch Tournament

Entry Fee: $225 per team

Entries Open: 04/11/2024 at 10:00am

Entries Close: 07/11/2024 at 5:00pm

 

Eligibility: 

  • Two person teams
  • Entries open to any amateur Father & Daughter teams who have an active Mass Golf Membership with a Handicap Index® not exceeding 54.0 individually (as determined by the Handicap Revision on the date of entry)
  • Fathers may only play with one daughter.

 

Approximate Yardages & Divisions: Two gross divisions. Teams get to decide which division they want to play in.

For teams unsure of which division to choose, Mass Golf has provided the following suggested guidelines based on the daughter's Handicap Index:

  • Daughter's Handicap Index under 15.0: Championship Division
  • Daughter's Handicap Index above 15.0: Forward Division

 

Play for Fathers in all divisions will be from approximately 6,100 yards.

Play for Daughters in the Championship Division will be from approximately 5,500 yards.

Play for Daughters in the Forward Division will be from approximately 5,000 yards.

 

Entry Procedures: 

Entries and fully paid entry fees must be received through the Mass Golf Online Entry process by 5:00pm EST on the published entry deadline.

 

Field: 

Entries will be on a first come, first served basis. After the field is full a waitlist will automatically start.

 

Format: 

  • 18 holes of Modified Scotch format (commonly known as Modified Foursomes)
  • Both golfers hit their tee shot and select which drive they want to use. They then play alternate shots into the hole. 

 

Caddies & Automotive Transportation: Cart fee is included in entry fee. Caddies and pull carts (at the host club's discretion) are permitted.

 

Starting Time: Tee times will begin at 8:00 AM off of the 1st tee.

 

Playoff: In the event of a tie for first place in the Championship Division only, there will be a hole-by-hole sudden death playoff on a hole designated by the Committee to determine the Champion team. All other ties will be decided by matching cards in accordance with USGA® recommended method.

 

Awards: The Father Daughter has a permanent trophy that will be engraved with the names of the Championship Division champions. Prize certificates will be given out to be redeemed at the Crumpin-Fox Club, and the winners of each division will be given take-home trophies.

 

Mass Golf Policies & Procedures: Please refer to Policies & Procedures and Pace of Play Policy. 

 

Distance-Measuring Devices: Permitted as specified in Mass Golf Championship Policies & Procedures.

 

Food & Beverage: Mass Golf will be providing a complimentary lunch for all competitors, located in the clubhouse.

 

Withdrawal & Refund Policy:

Competitors, who have submitted an entry for a Mass Golf event and wish to withdraw for any reason, MUST notify the Mass Golf staff contact for the event (listed on each event page) or the Mass Golf office in writing (e-mail is acceptable and encouraged) or by phone. 

  • At least seven days prior to the event
    • entry fee minus a $20 administrative fee will be refunded
  • Less than seven days and at least 48 hours prior to the event
    • 50% of entry fee will be refunded
  • Within 48 hours of the event
    • no refunds will be processed
