18 holes. Four-person team scramble

Shotgun start: 9 a.m.

 

This four-person team Scramble tournament is the first or our two annual Chapter Championships. The second--a two-person team Best Ball/Alternate Shot tournament--will be played Aug 11. Both will be played at Glendoveer Golf & Tennis Center. You don't have to choose. Play them both! 
 

Chapter Championship Scramble. Members of all skill levels are encouraged to play! Glendoveer's East Course is great course for this event and the four-person scramble format takes pressure off individual players so teammates can relax and enjoy the round! Win or lose, it will be a wonderful, fun day. 😎

Members can form their own teams of four or ask during registration to be placed on a team. It's a great way to get acquainted with members you may not know! Teams are encouraged (but not required) to wear "team colors" for fun and camaraderie.

 

Scoring. To ensure teams compete fairly, each will be assigned a team handicap using the Ambrose method, per this example....

 

  • Course Handicaps for each of four players are added (14 + 10 + 15 + 18 = 57); then averaged (57 / 4 = 14.25)
  • Team handicap is 50 percent of the average (14.25 / 2 = 7.13) and rounded to 7

 

Net team scores will be used to award 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.

 

Awards & Lunch

Join us after the round for awards and a hosted buffet lunch at Von Eberts Brewing, the club's onsite restaurant.

Important Registration Notes:

  • To complete registration you will need to enter your Handicap Posting Service (e.g., GHIN, other) account number. Please have it on hand before you begin registration. 
     
  • If you have already formed a team, enter your teammates' names in the Notes field. Each team member must register herself.
