PAIRINGS & COURSE SETUP

Round 1 pairings can be viewed on the Event Portal.  The plan yardages for the Amateur and Senior Amateur can be viewed here.  Subject to change without notice.  

 

CARTS

Carts are included in your entry fee each round.  You are not required to ride, but there will be carts with your name on it in the staging area.  We will make sure no more than two carts go out with each group and when we get to match play there will only be one cart per match on Tuesday due to the amount of carts.    

 

PRACTICE ROUND AVAILABILITY
No practice rounds arranged by CDGA, but Lancaster GC is a public golf course and you may be able to book a tee time.  
 

PRACTICE FACILITIES/ARRIVAL
The range will open at 7:00 a.m. each day.  The range is a 5 minute cart ride from the golf shop and you must pass by the 1st and 10th tees.  Be respectful and make sure to give yourself enough time to get back to the 1st tee for your tee time!!

 

SPECTATORS
Spectators are permitted.  

NO SPECTATOR CARTS, NO EXCEPTIONS.

 

FOOD SERVICE
Limited food will be available for purchase.  

 

FORMAT
18-hole stroke play qualifier with the Top 31 making match play in the CDGA Amateur Championship (Brett Podobinski is #1 seed) and the Top 15 making match play in the CDGA Senior Amateur Championship (Dave Lennox is #1 seed)

  

Tuesday

Match Play will begin with the Round of 32 and Round of 16 for the CDGA Amateur and the Round of 16 for the CDGA Senior Amateur. 

CDGA Amateur range of times for Round of 32:  7:30 a.m.-9:30 a.m.

CDGA Senior Amateur range of times for Round of 16:  9:38 a.m.-10:34 a.m.

CDGA Amateur range of times for Round of 16:  1:30 p.m.-2:26 p.m.

  

Wednesday

The Quarterfinals and Semifinals of the CDGA Amateur and CDGA Senior Amateur will be played.  

CDGA Amateur range of times for Quarterfinals:  8:00 a.m.-8:24 a.m.

CDGA Senior Amateur range of times for Quarterfinals:  8:32 a.m.-8:56 a.m.

CDGA Amateur range of times for Semifinals:  12:50-1:00

CDGA Senior Amateur range of times for Semifinals:  1:10-1:20

 

Thursday

CDGA Senior Amateur Final Match starts at 8:00 a.m.

 

CDGA  Amateur Final Match starts at 8:20 a.m.

 

REGISTRATION
None

 

PLAYOFF
A hole by hole playoff will be used to determine qualifiers if needed.  

 

SCORECARDS/SCORE CERTIFICATION
The printed scorecard will be official and must be signed by the player and marker.  GGIDs will be printed on the scorecards.  We highly encourage one person in each group to enter scores for live scoring.  
      

DRIVERS/GOLF BALLS
The Local Rule for Conforming Driver Heads is in effect, see Model Local Rule G-1.  The Local Rule requiring that all golf balls used be on the List of Conforming Golf Balls is in effect.  See Model Local Rule G-3.  Please check the USGA website, www.usga.org, for a list of approved golf balls and drivers.  The “One Ball Rule” is in effect.  See Model Local Rule G-4.

 

GROOVES
The players clubs must conform to the groove and punch mark specifications in The Rules of Golf that are effective from January 1, 2010.  See Model Local Rule G-2.  “The exception for Ping Eye 2 Irons manufactured before 31 March 1990 is not in effect”

 

DISTANCE MEASURING DEVICES
The Rules of Golf allow DMD's if no other features are turned on. 

 

CARTS

Pull/Push carts are permitted.  

 

CADDIES
Players are permitted to have a caddie.  The caddie may not be another player playing in the CDGA Amateur or Senior Amateur on the same day.      

 

CODE OF CONDUCT
Columbus District Golf Association expects all players to respect one another, the game and the host facility and their members at all times. 

 

PERSONAL APPEARANCE
Contestants must be neat in appearance.  No denim.  No cargo pants or cargo shorts.  Shirts must have collars. 

 

CLUB POLICIES
Please remove hats indoors. 

 

 

GREEN READING MATERIAL
Previous years yardage books that have green reading information may not meet the proper scaling.
