TERMS OF THE COMPETITION

ELIGIBILITY

This championship is open to teams consisting of four male amateur golfers who are members of the same SDGA member club.

 

ENTRIES, DEADLINE, AND REFUND POLICY

  • Entries: An entry  must be submitted with payment prior to the deadline. Late entries will not be accepted, regardless of reason.

  • Entry Fee: $320 per team. This includes one round of golf, cart, range, boxed lunch, prizes, and awards.

  • Deadline: Entries must be received prior to the deadline (12PM EST on Wednesday, September 18, 2024). Late entries will not be accepted, regardless of reason.

  • Refund Policy:

    • Withdrawal PRIOR TO entry deadline: Entry fee less $20

    • Withdrawal AFTER entry deadline: Entry fee less $50

    • Withdrawal WITHIN 2 DAYS of the competition: No Refund

 

FORMAT

This championship's format is 18 holes of individual stroke play. Three out of the four scores are counted towards the team score.  The team with the lowest combined score will be declared the champion. Ties will be broken by including the fourth score. If a tie still exists, the lowest scores will be used, then the 2nd lowest scores, and then the 3rd lowest scores. If a tie still exists, teams will be declared co-champions. If there is a tie for medalist, USGA tie breaker will be used.

 

FIELD SIZE

There is one team per SDGA member club limit, max of 20 teams. 

 

RULES

All play will be governed by the USGA Rules of Golf. Players will be provided a "Notice to Players" rules sheet containing local rules and conditions. The SDGA will have volunteer Rules Officials on the course to provide rulings and answer questions.

AWARDS AND PRIZES

Trophies will be awarded to the winning team. Trophy will be awarded to the medalist. Gift certificates to the host pro shop will be awarded to approximately 20% of the field and to the medalist.

 

FOOD & BEVERAGE

Players will receive a meal ticket to be redeemed at the club's halfway house.

 

CART AND DRIVING RANGE

The use of a cart and driving range is included in the entry. All players must ride.
