MEMORANDUM TO PLAYERS
FORMAT, QUALIFYING PLACES, AND TIES
- FORMAT. 18 holes of individual stroke play
- QUALIFYING SPOTS. 8 qualifying spots and 2 alternates will advance to the final qualifying stage.
- PLAYOFF. A hole-by-hole playoff will be used to break a tie for the final qualifying spot, first alternate, and/or second alternate. All announcements regarding the play-off will be made at the public scoreboard upon completion of play.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS - MONDAY, JUNE 24
- 7:00am.......................Practice facilities open
- 8:00am-12:30pm.......Starting times from hole #1
WITHDRAWALS
Notify the USGA immediately if you must withdraw from this qualifier. To withdraw and learn about the refund policy, click here.
DRIVING RANGE
- Opens at 7:00am
- Limited in distance (150 yards)
- Balls are provided compliments of the NYSGA
- Full range option available at the Delta Knolls, less than one mile from Tuegega.
COURSE SETUP
Play will be from the club's blue tee yardage, utilizing the new tees on #4 and #12.

REGISTRATION AND START OF PLAY
Players may (but aren't required to) register in the golf shop to confirm their starting time. Players should report to the 1st tee ten (10) minutes prior to their starting time for announcements.
PRACTICE ROUNDS
Practice rounds are available on Sunday, June 23 for $50 (includes cart) - see below to reserve a starting time. Additional times/dates are available if you are unable to play on June 23 - please contact the club for more information.
SCHEDULING PRACTICE ROUNDS
Follow the directions below to schedule your practice round starting time - do not call the pro shop.
- Visit "Practice Round Scheduling" under the "Qualifier Information" menu option
- Select your name from the search bar
- Select your desired tee time

PUSH CARTS
The use of a pull cart is approved for this qualifier. None are available through the host club to rent so plan accordingly. Electronic golf bag carts are permitted if there is no seat attachment.
FOOD SERVICE
There is no food service available at the club during the qualifier so please plan accordingly. The NYSGA will provide water and snacks on the course and at starting/scoring.
CADDIES
A competitor may bring their own caddie or carry their own clubs. There are no caddies available through the host club. A caddie is required to wear an NYSGA caddie bib, which will be provided at starting during announcements.
LIVE SCORING
Live scoring via the Golf Genius mobile app is required of one player (or caddie). Please download via their smartphone's app store (search "Golf Genius") in advance of their arrival to their starting hole.

LOCAL RULES AND CONDITIONS
Listed below are a number of important Conditions of Competition and Local Rules for this qualifier.
- USGA LOCAL RULES AND TERMS OF THE COMPETITION (HARD CARD). Click here.
- GROOVE CONDITION. The players’ clubs must conform to the grooves and punch mark specifications in The Rules of Golf that are effective from January 1, 2010. See Model Local Rule G-2. The exception for Ping Eye2 Irons manufactured before March 31, 1990 is not in effect. (click here).
- CONFORMING BALLS AND DRIVER HEADS. Visit the USGA website for a list of approved golf balls (click here) and driver heads (click here).
- ONE BALL RULE. Is NOT in effect for any USGA qualifying rounds in 2024.
- DISTANCE MEASURING DEVICES. For all USGA qualifying rounds, the use of distance measuring devices to measure distance only is permitted.
PROHIBITING USE OF MOTORIZED TRANSPORTATION (LOCAL RULE G-6)
Players must not ride on any form of transportation during a stipulated round unless authorized by the Committee. The optional condition prescribed in Section 8 of the Committee Procedures is in effect will be in effect. A breach will result in the general penalty, two-strokes, on each hole where the breach occurred.
REQUESTING USE OF A CART
A disabled player or caddie may be permitted to use a golf cart as an accommodation to their ability. As required by the ADA, the USGA will evaluate such requests on a case-by-case basis. To learn more and to submit the required form, click here.
SPECTATOR CARTS
A disabled spectator may be permitted to use a golf cart. As required by the ADA, the NYSGA will evaluate such requests on a case-by-case basis. To complete and return the required form, click here.
WITHDRAWAL FROM QUALIFYING
To withdraw, notify the USGA (complete this online form, call 908-326-1950, or e-mail champs@usga.org) and the Official in Charge (see below) prior to the scheduled qualifying round. Failure to do so may result in disqualification from future USGA competitions.
PACE OF PLAY
The NYSGA Pace of Play Policy is in effect.
CODE OF CONDUCT
The NYSGA Code of Conduct Policy is in effect.
EVACUATION PLAN
In the event of a discontinuance of play during the qualifier, players must adhere to the evacuation plan distributed by the Committee at their starting tee.
