- Perimeter OB stakes or fences and any fescue length grass on the boundaries of the course (whether marked or not) will be considered lateral penalty areas for this event (You have the option to drop at point of entry rather than re-teeing).
- Please obey the orders of the Golf Course Player Assistants.
- Professionals are responsible for completing the scores on the GOLF GENIUS APP and turning in the scorecard to the VGT Scoring Team at completion of play with 2 signatures on the card verifying the team score & the Pro score. We will assist all Pros and elite Amateurs with login to the golf genius scorecard at registration.
TEAM FORMAT: TEXAS SCRAMBLE
Three Amateurs will play with a VGT Professional or Elite Amateur in a TEXAS SCRAMBLE format.
- All players will take their drives from the tee.
- Teams will select the best shot to the tee.
- All amateurs will proceed to the best shot and continue the process until finishing the hole.
- When playing from the best shot, players must play their ball from within 1 club length of the best shot selected, no closer to the hole. When on the putting green, players must mark the best shot and play within a putter head of the marker, no closer to the hole.
- The team will count one "gross" scramble score on each hole.
- The maximum score is bogey for the amateur scramble teams. Please pick-up if there’s no way to do better than a bogey.
- Amateurs must hit a minimum of 2 drives/each.
- All other holes are open to use the Pro’s drive or the best Amateur drive.
- If a Pro’s tee- shot is used on a par 3, the Pro must putt out first!
- The team score on each hole is the better score between the Amateur Scramble Score and the Pro’s score, over 18 holes.
- Please indicate which hole each player’s tee shot was used.
- HOLE #3: “Pro Takes a Shot”. After all players, including the Pros have taken their tee-shots on hole 3, the Pro or elite Amateur will take one more tee-shot from the WHITE TEES for the team. If this shot is chosen for the scramble, the team can assign this drive to any amateur who has purchased the “All Access Pass”. The Pro will still play from their original tee-shot from the silver tees for this hole.
Team Ties: All ties will be broken by Golf Canada retrogression. All ties will be broken starting with the best back 9 on the Westwood Plateau scorecard (hole 10-18 on the card).
Any player who joins their team later than 6 holes in must record only one tee shot. In light of a group only having 3 players they may rotate and take player #4’s drive.
