Carolinas Ladies' Club Days

New in 2024!

The Carolinas Golf Association is excited to announce a new program for 2024: Carolinas Ladies' Club Days!

What are Carolinas Ladies' Club Days? Carolinas Ladies' Club Days are a way to connect your home club to the CGA. During your normal club season, you can host a Carolinas Ladies' Club Day at your club. This is hosted completely at the club level and is only open to members of the CGA (which is defined as someone with a Handicap Index® at a CGA member club). The winner will be recognized as the Carolinas Ladies' Club Day winner for your club.

Is my club/LGA eligible to participate? Any club that is a member of the Carolinas Golf Association is eligible to hold a Carolinas Ladies' Club Day.

Who is allowed to participate in my club's Carolinas Ladies' Club Day? The club/LGA can decide who they invite to play in the event, whether it is closed to only members of that particular club/LGA or if it is open to outside CGA members.

What type of event should we host on our Carolinas Ladies' Club Day at our club? The tournament or game must be or include an individual stroke play competition with five or more players using net scoring. An overall winner of the field must be determined. If there is a tie for first place, co-winners can be awarded or the club may choose to have a playoff to determine the winner. Specific tournament details are up to the LGA and/or club staff.

When should we host our Carolinas Ladies' Club Day? Any time in 2024! The Carolinas Ladies' Club Day season will run from January 1 - December 31 each year.

How much does it cost to participate? Absolutely nothing! This is an included benefit of being a member of the CGA.

What does the winner receive for winning the Carolinas Ladies' Club Day? The winner from your club will receive a medallion and certificate from the CGA. Her picture and score will also be posted on this website for all to see and admire!

Do we have to tell the CGA that we're hosting this event in advance? Nope! No need to submit the event to the CGA until after it has been completed and a winner has been determined. Results will be submitted in an online results form here.

How can we submit our winner of the Carolinas Ladies' Club Day? The winner or the LGA/club representative will fill out this Results Form to submit results. The CGA will process the forms weekly, send out the prizes and post the winners on this website. Don't forget to upload a picture!

What if my club doesn't have a Ladies' Golf Association? Can we still host an event? Sure! Just coordinate with your club staff to organize the event for ladies at your club. If five or more women compete, your event is eligible for Carolinas Ladies' Club Day recognition.

Is this program similar to the North Carolina Women's Golf Association (NCWGA) State Play Days? You bet! The State Play Days program formerly administered by the NCWGA was very popular. In an effort to continue that program and open it to all of our CGA members, we created the Carolinas Ladies' Club Days.
