Registration Dates

Opens: Saturday, March 30 @ 7:00 a.m.

Closes: Wednesday, April 17 @ 5:00 p.m.

Format

2 Player Scramble

Lift, clean, & place within once club length in your own fairway and play in any order.

If ball selected in not in your own fairway, the player's ball selected must play it down and go first. The 2nd player must drop in the same cut and play it down within one club length. Putts must be played from the exact spot selected, and all putts must be holed (no gimmies). The hole is completed when a putt is holed, so do not tap-in except to finish. DOUBLE BOGEY MAX SCORE.

Model Local Rule I-2: Prohibiting Practicing on or Near Previous Putting Green is in effect for all Akron District Golf Association Tournaments.

120 Players

Waiting List

In the case of the event being maxed out, any spots opened as a result of cancellations will be automatically filled with the next available player(s) on the waitlist (ordered by waitlist registration time). There will be no charge until players/teams are moved from the waitlist to the confirmed tournament roster in our system.

Variable Tees by Age

All players compete in one division from variable tees by age. Tees are set so that the line of play is the same for all competitors and spaced so that no age group has an advantage against the rest of the field:

Men (18-54) - Neon Orange Tees

Men (55-64) - Neon Yellow Tees

Men 65+ and Women - Neon Blue Tees

Players of different ages/genders may play on the same team, using the appropriate tees as outlined above.

Eligibility

This tournament is open to amateurs only.

The Akron District Golf Association events are run as competitive tournaments. So unless there are hours of heavy rains before and at our starting time, the event will be played. A forecasted chance of rain or a light rain at our starting times is not a reason to cancel in advance. If the forecast is for lightning or a near-certain amount of rain that will clearly cause standing water, then an early cancellation is a possibility. But if the course is playable and the weather manageable, the event will be played.
