This information supplements the Local Rules and Terms of the Competition for 2024 CLG Hard Card, Pace of Play Guidelines/Procedures, Code of Conduct policy and event entry form. Posted course local rules do not apply.

 

 

TERMS OF THE COMPETITION

 

Format – Fore-Ball

 

Scoring – Best Score each hole - Gross & Net Maximum Score: 9

 

Prizes - Three Flights paying out 1st and 2nd in each for Gross and Net

 

Ties - All ties will be broken using the USGA Method (last 9, last 6, last 3, Hole 18)

 

Teeing Area - Gold - Course Tee Markers define the teeing area for all players.

 

Pace of Play - Pace of Play is set at 4 hours and 32 minutes. Your scorecard indicates the time a group should complete each hole. Please keep up with the group in front of you.

 

Penalty Areas - Penalty areas are defined by red or yellow lines. Stakes are used to identify the penalty area, but do not define the edge of the penalty area. When lines are not present, red penalty areas are also defined as areas of native grass and unmarked wooded areas defined by the natural change or mow line of the height of the grass. Rule 17.1.

 

Playing Two Balls When Uncertain What to Do - When a player is uncertain what to do or an official is not available, he may complete the hole with two balls and report to the committee for a ruling. Rule 20.1c(3).

 

Immovable Obstructions

· Flower beds encircled by or directly adjacent to cart paths are treated as a part of the obstruction

· Stones, drains, and cart traffic posts adjacent to cart paths are treated as a part of the obstruction

· Parking lots, driveways, roads, buildings and shelters in the general area

 

Temporary Immovable Obstructions – Air circulation fans on green banks are deemed to be temporary immovable obstructions.

 

Ground Under Repair – Ground under repair is encircled with white lines or as defined on the Central Links Golf hard card. Out of

 

Bounds Out of bounds can be identified by white lines, white stakes, rock walls, iron fence, concrete street curbs. When white stakes are present along the mow line, the mow line defines the out of bounds line if white paint lines are not present. The inside points of the stake or fence post at ground level defines the boundary. A ball that crosses over or under a roadway that defines the course boundary and then comes to rest on another part of the course is out-of-bounds.

 

Right side of holes #4,5,6,7 are out of bounds. Left side of holes #10, 11, 12 are out of bounds. Any ball on or left of the cart path on hole #18 is out of bounds. The driving range is out of bounds. See Painted White line

Hole #10 – Other side of creek – just left of the Bridge

Hole #11 – Other side of pond – just right of the Bridge

Hole # 14 – Other side of pond – left of the cart path

Hole #15 – Other side of pond – left of the cart path
