Format: 18 holes of individual stroke play
Starting Time: 7:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. off holes #1 and #10
Walking Only Event: The U.S. Senior Open and its qualifiers are walking only events, players may carry their bag or have a caddie. Players may not ride in a motorized cart. Please note that The Broadmoor does not allow push/pull carts.

Driving Range: The driving range will be made available by 6:30 a.m. at no additional charge to the player
Practice Round Information: Practice rounds are available on the following dates and times:
Practice round rate is $60 (Includes cart or players may bring their own caddy). Only player in the qualifier may play the practice round, no other player are permitted. All practice round times must be made by emailing Russ Miller at rmiller@broadmoor.com. Please no calls to the golf shop.
Player Food: Player food will be the responsibility of the player and will be available for purchase.
Score Posting: The CGA will post tournament scores for all Amateur players. |
USGA Policies & Local Rules in Effect |

Distance Measuring Devices: During Qualifying rounds, the use of electronic distance-measuring devices to measure distance is allowed (subject to certain requirements). However, during the Championship Proper, the Local Rule as prescribed in Section 8 of the Committee Procedures is in effect and prohibits the use of electronic distance-measuring devices. Model Local Rule G-5.
Green Maps: Please note that any green reading materials must adhere to the 2023 updated standards. Green books can be purchased through Strackaline.
Prohibiting Use of Audio and Video Devices: During a round, a player must not listen to or watch content of any nature on a personal audio or video device (G-8).
Replacement of Broken or Significantly Damaged Club: Model Local Rule G-9 is in effect. CLICK HERE for a full explanation.
Official in Charge: An official in charge cannot set-up a golf course or officiate Rules if that person is also a participant at the qualifying site.
Clubs: Grooves - Local Rule as prescribed in Section 8 of the Committee Procedures is in effect, except that the Exception in the Model Local Rule does not apply - Model Local Rule G-2.
Footwear: It is a condition at all qualifying sites unless otherwise indicated by an asterisk on this entry application that shoes with traditionally-designed spikes (regardless of composition, i.e., ceramic, plastic, etc.) or spikes, regardless of design, comprised either entirely or partially of metal (if such metal may come in contact with the course) are prohibited during the stipulated round.
