Dolly Sullivan Best Ball Tournament

Entry Fee: $550/18 holes per team

Entries Open: 04/11/2024 at 10:00am

Entries Close: 07/02/2024 at 5:00pm

 

Eligibility:

  • Registration by designated club contact only
  • Four women teams who have an active GHIN® # at the same club
  • Amateur golfers who have an active Mass Golf Membership with a Handicap Index® up to 54.0 (as determined by the Handicap Revision on the date of entry)
  • Players will be limited to a 36 Playing Handicap™
  • Up to two teams from each club will be accepted prior to the close of entries on a first come first served basis. Third teams can be requested during registration and after entries are closed will be accommodated on a space available and first come first served basis.

 

Entry Procedures: 

Entries and fully paid entry fees must be received through the Mass Golf Online Entry process by 5:00pm EST on the published entry deadline.

 

Field: 

Entries will be on a first come, first served basis. After the field is full a waitlist will automatically start.

 

Format:

  • 18 holes of Best Ball of four stroke play
  • Teams play their own ball on each hole
  • At the end of each hole the four person team writes down the best person’s gross score on that hole
  • Gross and Net Divisions

 

Handicaps:

All golfers will play to 75% of their Course Handicap™.

 

Caddies & Automotive Transportation:

Cart fee is included in entry fee. Caddies and pull carts (at the host club(s) discretion) are permitted.

 

Food & Beverage: 

Mass Golf will be providing a complimentary lunch for all competitors.

 

Starting Time: 

Monday Shotgun start at 8:00 AM

Monday Shotgun start at 1:45 PM

Tuesday Shotgun start at 8:00 AM

Tuesday Shotgun start at 1:45 p.m.

 

Awards: The Dolly Sullivan Team Best Ball has two permanent trophies that will be engraved with the names of the low gross and low net winners from their respective divisions. All ties will be decided by a matching of cards in accordance with USGA recommended method. Prize Certificates (gross & net places) will be given out and must be redeemed at Sterling Country Club.

Withdrawal & Refund Policy:

Competitors, who have submitted an entry for a Mass Golf event and wish to withdraw for any reason, MUST notify the Mass Golf staff contact for the event (listed on each event page) or the Mass Golf office in writing (e-mail is acceptable and encouraged) or by phone. 

  • At least seven days prior to the event
    • entry fee minus a $20 administrative fee will be refunded
  • Less than seven days and at least 48 hours prior to the event
    • 50% of entry fee will be refunded
  • Within 48 hours of the event
    • no refunds will be processed
