Championship Format
All championship contestants play in the first and second 18-hole rounds on July 16th and 17th. After these 36 holes, the low 64 scores will be determined. If a tie exists for the 64th seed, a sudden-death playoff will be conducted on July 17th and will begin 10 minutes after the final score is posted to the main scoreboard.  The starting tee for the playoff will be announced and posted to the main scoreboard.  All players subject to the playoff must be present at the playoff starting tee for the call of the roll. Any player not present will be eliminated from the playoff.  The match play bracket will be determined and seeded based on the player's 36-hole score with ties broken by random draw. Matches will be played over 18 holes, with the exception of the Championship match that will be played over 36 holes.

Golf Cart Rules (Players, Caddies & Spectators)
Golf cart is included as part of your entry fee for all championship proper rounds on July 16-21, but Central Links Golf reserves the right to limit or suspend the use of golf carts due to inclement weather, unsafe/improper use of the golf cart or circumstances where use of the golf cart would represent a hazard to others, the tournament officials, the golf course or for other unforeseen circumstances.  There are no exceptions allowed to the rules listed below for carts.  Please read the rules carefully as you prepare to play in this championship.

Practice Round - Golf cart is provided during the practice round as part of your entry fee. Only two carts per starting time.

Stroke Play Tournament Rounds - During the stroke play qualifying rounds on July 16-17, golf carts are allowed but a player and the player's caddie are NOT allowed to ride on the golf cart at the same time. If you bring a caddie, he/she should be prepared to walk.

Violations of any of the above cart policies will be administered via the Central Links Golf Code of Conduct Policy.

Practice Facilities
The practice facilities (driving range) are for practice prior to your round only.  The practice facilities will open one hour prior to the first starting time each day. The driving range at Topeka CC is small. As a courtesy to others, please limit your warm up time to allow all contestants to get ready to play.

Methods of Payment
Food & Beverage – Players and spectators may purchase food and beverage in the clubhouse. Credit cards are accepted.

Typically, Kansas Amateur week is a hot one.  Hydration is extremely important.  Players are strongly encouraged to make a personal water bottle or cooler as part of your equipment for the week.  Bottled water will be available on the 1st and 10th starting tees and other locations on the golf course.

A beverage cart will be active during the championship.

Gift Certificates
Players that advance to match play will be awarded gift certificates redeemable for merchandise in the Topeka Country Club golf shop.  Gift certificates for players that lose their match must be claimed prior to the completion of the championship.  Any gift certificate not claimed will be voided after the championship is completed.  High school players that are still enrolled in a Kansas high school sanctioned by the KSHSAA are not eligible to receive a gift certificate per the KSHSAA amateur status policy.
