Practice Rounds: Players may arrange a practice round by contacting the golf shop and identifying themselves as a competitor in the field. Practice rounds will be offered based on club availability within the timeframes listed below. 

 

Availability:

  • Thursday, April 18 - 2:20 - 3:00pm
  • Monday, April 22 - 2:20 - 3:00pm
  • Wednesday, April 24 - 2:00 - 3:00pm
  • Monday, May 6 - 2:20 - 3:00pm
  • Thursday, May 9 - 2:00 - 3:00pm

 

Notes:

  • Contact the golf shop (413) 567-8412 to schedule a practice round.

  • There will be a mandatory cart/trail fee of $30 (CASH ONLY).
  • Competitors will be limited to one practice round and will be paired up with other competitors.
  • Please limit your practice round to one ball on each hole and be aware of your pace of play with surrounding groups. 
  • Competitors may walk the course NO CLUBS after 5:00 PM on Sunday, May 12th. 

 

Starting Times:  Play will begin at 8:00am off the 1st tee. Pairings & Starting Times will be available after the close of entries and can be accessed by clicking the "Starting Times & Parings" tab above. There will be no registration on the day of the event, please report to your scheduled starting tee to receive local rules, hole locations, scorecard, etc. at least 10 minutes prior to your starting time.

 

Withdrawals:  To withdraw from a qualifier, please login to the USGA Portal and click WITHDRAW and select the Championship and Reason for withdrawing. If applicable, any refund will be processed within 5-7 business days. Once submitted, all withdrawals are final. If you need to withdraw within 48 hours of the qualifier, please also e-mail Steve Yatrousis at syatrousis@massgolf.org. 

 

Qualifying & Alternate Spots Available: 4 Qualifying Spot(s) and 2 Alternate Spots. Qualifying players will advance to the Final Qualifying for the 124th U.S. Open Championship at Pinehurst Resort & CC (Pinehurst, NC).  

 

Distance Devices:  The use of distance measuring devices is permitted.

 

Automotive Transportation: The use of automotive transportation will NOT be permitted during the player's round. Pull/push carts will be permitted.

 

Caddies & Push Carts: Players are permitted to employ a caddy and/or use a push cart.  

 

Competition Tees/ Yardage: Competition Tees & Yardage are approximate and subject to change. Play will be approximately from the Black Tee yardage - 6,700 yards (Par 70). 

 

Golf Shop, Locker Room and Practice Facilities: The practice facilities will be open and available at 7:00am. 

 

Food & Beverage: Lunch will be available for purchase in the clubhouse (Cash or Credit).

 

Dress Code:  Please observe the USGA dress code as stated in the application. 

 

*Please also review the 2023 USGA Hard Card and other policies located under the tab labeled "USGA Policies" prior to competition.

 

*There will be no registration on the day of the event - please report to your scheduled starting hole to receive local rules, scorecard, etc. 10 minutes prior to your starting time.
