2024 U.S. Junior Amateur Qualifying - The Captains Golf Course

THE CAPTAINS GOLF COURSE
Practice Rounds: Players may arrange a practice round by contacting the golf shop and identifying themselves as a competitor in the field. Practice rounds will be offered based on club availability within the timeframes listed below.
Availability:
- Captains GC is offering each player one complimentary (walking) practice round - available any Monday - Thursday, subject to club/tee availability. Please call the Pro Shop (508-896-1716) to book a practice round tee time in advance, no walk-up tee times are permitted.
- Parents/Family that wish to play alongside a competitor may do so for the posted public rate (https://www.captainsgolfcourse.com/rates/) at the time of play. If a player wishes to play an additional practice round, or outside of the window of days provided by Captains, they may do so for the posted public rate. Captains GC offers Junior Green Fees for $25 after Noon and $5 after 4:00pm.
- Any practice round must be booked in advance by calling the Captains Pro Shop, and players, parents, etc. are expected to follow all guidance and instruction from The Captains GC staff.
Notes:
- Competitors will be limited to one complimentary practice round and may be paired up with other competitors.
- Please limit your practice round to one ball on each hole and be aware of your pace of play with surrounding groups.
Starting Times: Play will begin at 12:30pm off the 1st & 10th tee. Pairings & Starting Times will be available after the close of entries and can be accessed by clicking the "Starting Times & Parings" tab above. There will be no registration on the day of the event, please report to your scheduled starting tee to receive local rules, hole locations, scorecard, etc. at least 10 minutes prior to your starting time.
Withdrawals: To withdraw from a qualifier, please login to the USGA Portal and click WITHDRAW and select the Championship and Reason for withdrawing. If applicable, any refund will be processed within 5-7 business days. Once submitted, all withdrawals are final. If you need to withdraw within 48 hours of the qualifier, please also e-mail Steve Yatrousis at syatrousis@massgolf.org.
Qualifying & Alternate Spots Available: 4 Qualifying Spot(s) and 2 Alternate Spots. Qualifying players will advance to the 76th U.S. Junior Amateur Championship at Oakland Hills Country Club, July 22 - 27, 2024.
Distance Devices: The use of distance measuring devices is permitted.
Automotive Transportation: The use of automotive transportation will NOT be permitted during the player's round. Pull/push carts will be permitted.
Caddies & Push Carts: Players are permitted to employ a caddy and/or use a push cart. Club caddies are not available through the The Captains GC Pro Shop. EXCEPTION: A player must not use a parent, step parent, or guardian as a caddie during Qualifying or the Championship proper. Please note, this is a USGA policy, and any questions or concerns about this policy should be directed to the USGA Championship staff.
Competition Tees/ Yardage: Competition Tees & Yardage are approximate and subject to change. Play will be approximately from the Blue Tee yardage - 6,776 yards (Par 72).
Golf Shop, Locker Room and Practice Facilities:
The Driving Range is located off-site. Golf carts are not allowed to be driven to the driving range; you must drive your car there. It is located about 2/10 of a mile from the clubhouse. From the golf course parking lot take a right out of the driveway. Proceed about 100 yards and take your first left into Commerce Park. The Driving Range is the third property on the right.
Food & Beverage: Lunch will be available for purchase starting at 11:00 AM.
Yardage Books: For players unable to play a practice round, or those looking for more course information, Mass Golf is now partnering with StrakaLine and all USGA qualifying competitors will receive a 20% discount on their order. Dress Code: Please observe the USGA dress code as stated in the application.

*There will be no registration on the day of the event - please report to your scheduled starting hole to receive local rules, scorecard, etc. 10 minutes prior to your starting time.
