2024 RDGA Two Person Alternate Shot

FIELD SIZE: 144 players; 72 two-person teams

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Monday, August 19, 2024 (11:59 pm)
FORMAT: Two-person teams. Both players tee off and play each hole individually and record their individual scores. The team then records the one best score on the hole as their team score. The event will feature FOUR separate divisions: Men's Championship (Blue Tee, played at scratch), Men's Senior (White Tee, with Gross and Net competitions), Men's Regular (White Tee, with Gross and Net competitions), Women's (Women's Red Tee, with Gross and Net competitions). Junior players are eligible to participate in any flight except senior.
With RDGA District Championship exemptions being given to the top two teams in the Men's Championship Division and the first place team in the Men's Senior Division (Gross Score results), this will be your opportunity to qualify for the 2025 RDGA District Championship John H. Ryan Jr. Memorial at Cobblestone Creek Country Club!
*NEW THIS YEAR: LOTTERY REGISTRATION FOR ALL RDGA TWO PERSON EVENTS. This year's tournament registration process will feature a random lottery, rather than the "first-come, first served" method of registration we’ve done in the past. Here's how it will work: players will be able to pre-register for any fall Two Person event (held August through October) beginning July 1. THEN, on a specific date for each event (listed above for this tournament), if pre-registrations exceed the field size for those events, each field will be filled randomly from the list of teams that pre-registered for each event. At that point, those teams randomly selected for each event will be notified that they are officially registered. Any teams that do not get randomly selected will then be placed on the waitlist for that event. PLEASE NOTE: Pre-registered teams will NOT be charged for the entry fee unless they are randomly selected for the starting field.
ABOUT: The RDGA Two Person Alternate Shot is open to ALL amateur golfers - men and women, and juniors - with an active GHIN® Handicap Index® through a Rochester District Golf Association Member Club. If you've never played in an actual golf tournament before - or if you are a seasoned veteran - this is a fun way to enjoy the RDGA tournament experience!
