Player Information Sheet

 

Schedule of Play/Format: 18-holes, Four-Ball Stroke Play - GROSS and NET Divisions (85% Handicap). Men and Women will play from different sets of Tees. In the event of a tie, a hole-by-hole play-off will commence immediately following the close of competition.

 

Rules of Play: The 2023 Rules of Golf are in effect and are supplemented by the MASS GOLF HARD CARD. The Committee will provide any additional Local Rules needed at the championship site. It is the individual player’s responsibility to know the Terms of the Competition. For a side’s score to count, the correct score for each hole must be individually identifiable on the official scorecard.

Golf Carts, Caddies, & Push/Pull Carts: Golf carts are permitted for the Championship proper and were included in the entry fee. The use of caddies, and push/pull carts is also permitted.

 

Starting Times: You can find the STARTING TIMES & PAIRINGS here. Please make sure to be at your starting tee at least 10 minutes prior to your starting time to ensure that all proper instructions are received from the starter. Milton will be the front 9, Quincy will be the back 9. 

 

Tees/ Approximate Yardage: Please see below for the approx. tee pads we will be using for this Championship. All tee pads numbers start from the back tee on each hole. 2nd = Second from back, 3rd = Third from back, 4th = Fourth from back, 5th = Fifth from back. Approx yardage for the Championship for Men is ~6,200 yards and Women is ~5,300 yards. Milton will be the front 9, Quincy will be the back 9.

Practice Round Information: Practice rounds are available at the discretion of the host club based on their availability. Competitors are required to email Bobby Iannarone and introduce themselves as a competitor to schedule their practice round tee time (no walk-up times available). Bobby Iannarone can be reached at RIannarone@granitelinks.com

  • Practice rounds at Granite Links GC are only available on the dates & times listed below:
  • Starting April 3rd, Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays before 12pm.

Notes:

  • Competitors will be asked to pay a mandatory fee (with or without golf cart) of $30.00 – Cash/Card Accepted
  • Competitors are limited to one discounted practice round and will be paired with other competitors.
  • Only ONE ball may be played by competitors during their practice round.

 

Practice Facilities: All practice facilities/areas will be available starting at 7:00 AM.

 

Food & Beverage Services: Mass Golf will provide a complimentary luncheon between 11:30 AM – 3:30 PM. Additional F&B options will be available (drinks, snacks, alcohol, etc.) for players/caddies/spectators at their own expense – Cash and/or Credit Card will be accepted.  Players teeing off in the afternoon are encouraged to take advantage of this luncheon before their round. Small breakfast items and coffee are available for players to purchase at their own expense at the Crossing Nines Tavern.

 

Prizes: Champion plaques will be awarded to Champions, and trophies will be awarded to Net Division Champions. Merchandise certificates will be awarded and are only redeemable at the host site.
