Established in 1906, and one of twenty surviving CDGA founding members, the Park Ridge Country Club’s nines were laid out by noted course architects Herbert J. Tweedie and Tom Bendelow.

Over the following 118 years, the Club has built a rich tradition of supporting championship golf events at all levels, including 11 national competitions.  In recent years, the Club has hosted the 32nd Illinois State Mid-Amateur Championship (2024), the 121st Women's Western Amateur Championship (2021) and the 100th Western Junior Championship (2017).  The Club will host the 100th playing of the Women's Western Junior Championship in 2027.
