Schedule of Play/Format:
- September 3rd (Tuesday) & 4th (Wednesday) - Round 1 and 2 (18 holes/day)
- A cut to the low 30 competitors & ties (or anyone within 5 strokes of the leader) will be made after 36-holes.
- September 5th (Thursday) - Round 3
Championship Tees: Approximate yardage will be 6,400 yards ("Back" tees).
Rules of Play: The 2023 Rules of Golf are in effect and are supplemented by the Mass Golf Hard Card. The Committee will provide any additional Local Rules needed at the Championship site. It is the individual player’s responsibility to know the Terms of the Competition.

Caddies and Pull/Push Carts: The use of caddies, and pull/push carts is permitted for the Championship proper.
Golf Carts: The use of automotive transportation (golf carts) is permitted for the Championship proper, but are not included in your entry fee. Carts must be rented at the competitor's expense - $25 (cash and/or credit card accepted).
Note: No more than 2 golf carts will be permitted per starting time regardless of the number of players and/or caddies in a group. Caddies are permitted to ride in a player's cart only if there is an available seat.
Starting Times (Rounds 1 & 2): Can be found on the Massachusetts Mid-Amateur home page. Please make sure to be at your starting tee at least 10 minutes prior to your starting time to ensure that all proper instructions are received from the starter. The clocks at the 1st and 10th tees are the official time.
Practice Rounds:
Dates & Times
- Based on first come, first served availability during the dates/times outlined below – competitors must contact the golf shop at 508-430-5234 to receive the discounted rate(s) - no walk-up times will be available.
- Starting Sunday 8/18:
- Practice Round Tee Times will be available Sunday – Thursday after 1:00pm, mandatory trail/cart fee of $25.
- Competitors looking to book tee times outside of this window will be charged the “Resident Rate” of $50, and an additional $25 if you wish to ride.
- Please refrain from calling outside of normal business hours.

- Starting Sunday 8/18:
Practice Facilities: The practice facilities will be open one hour before the first scheduled starting time, and will close after the last tee time of the day. All competitors will be expected to walk to/from the practice facilities.
Sunday, September 1st & Monday, September 2nd: For competitors wanting to preview the course just ahead of the Championship, competitors/caddies may WALK (no clubs or golf balls) the course on Sunday, September 1st and/or Monday, September 2nd after 4:00pm.
- The practice range, practice putting green(s) and short game area(s) are available at all times.
- Notes:
- On Sunday (9/1) and Monday (9/2), competitors must purchase range balls from the machine (Credit Card only).

Yardage Books:

- All yardage books (and greens guides) purchased through StrackaLine are compliant with the Rules of Golf and are permitted for use in Mass Golf championships.
Food & Beverage Services:
- Tuesday, September 3rd: Lunch will be provided by Mass Golf for all competitors from approx. 11:00am to 3:00pm.
- Wednesday, September 4th: All food and beverage items will be available at the player's expense.
- Thursday, September 5th: Lunch will be provided by Mass Golf for all competitors from approx. 11:00am to 3:00pm.
- Additional food and beverage services (including bar service) will be available to players, caddies, spectators, etc. from the restaurant at the individual's expense (cash and/or credit card accepted). Breakfast services will be available throughout the week.
Locker Room Facilities: Cranberry Valley GC does not have a locker room.
Prizes: The Ted Bishop Cup will be presented to the Champion. Merchandise certificates will be awarded to the top finishers and ties and are only redeemable at the host site.
