Massachusetts Mid-Amateur Qualifying - Westover GC

Practice RoundsPlayers may arrange a practice round by contacting the golf shop and identifying themselves as a competitor in the field. Practice rounds will be offered based on club availability within the timeframes listed below. 

 

Availability:

  • Monday through Friday anytime.
  • Weekends after 11:00 AM. 
  • Please call the Golf Shop and identify yourself as a competitor (413) 547-8610.

 

Notes:

  • There will be a mandatory trail fee of $21. 
  • All other rounds can be booked at the posted rates. 
  • Players are limited to one discounted practice round. 
  • Please limit your practice round to one ball on each hole and be aware of your pace of play with surrounding groups.

Competition Tees/ Yardage: The competition will be played from the WHITE tee yardage (Approx. 6,700 yards; par 72). 

 

Starting Times: Play will begin at 8:00am off the 1st tee. Pairings & Starting Times will be available after the close of entries and can be accessed by clicking the "Starting Times & Parings" tab above. There will be no registration on the day of the event, please report to your scheduled starting tee to receive local rules, hole locations, scorecard, etc. at least 10 minutes prior to your starting time.

 

Qualifying & Alternate Spots Available: 12 players and ties will advance to the Championship Proper at Cranberry Valley GC on September 3 - 5. Alternates will be assigned per the Mass Golf alternate policy. There will be no playoffs for qualifying or alternate spots. The number of qualifying spots is subject to change based on any withdrawals prior to the competition.

 

Automotive Transportation: The use of automotive transportation is available during the qualifying round at the player's expense - $21 (Cash or Credit)Please Note: Per the Mass Golf Policies & Procedures, no more than two carts will be permitted per starting time.

 

Caddies: Caddies are permitted. Caddies may ride in a golf cart if space permits, but no more than two carts will be permitted per starting time. 

 

Club Facilities: Food & beverage will be available at the player's expense. 

 

Practice Range: Will be open and available at 6:30 AM. 

 

Rules of Play: The 2023 Rules of Golf are in effect and are supplemented by the Mass Golf Hard Card. It is the individual's player's responsibility to know the Terms of the Competition.

Score Posting: All scores from individual stroke play events (qualifiers & championships) will be automatically posted to a player's Mass Golf/USGA Handicap Index by the Mass Golf Staff.
