121st WPGA Open Championship Qualifying Round

This notice serves as confirmation for 121st WPGA Open Qualifying on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at Treesdale Golf & Country Club. The competition will be held on the Grove and the Lakes nines. Qualifying is 18 holes with a field of 50 players. The number of spots the field will be playing for is 18 (eighteen) and two (2) alternates. Additional information will be distributed on the first tee.

 

 

Format:  18-holes of stroke play. Play is governed by the USGA Rules of Golf and any Local Rules and Conditions distributed prior to play. In the event of a tie for the final qualifying spot or any alternate, a hole-by-hole playoff will take place immediately following the conclusion of play, on holes to be determined by the Committee .

 

Practice: Practice rounds can be scheduled by emailing Jimmy Brahm (Jimmy.Brahm@Invitedclubs.com), the Golf Professional at Treesdale. Practice rounds are at the discretion of the Club.  Phone calls will not be accepted. Practice rounds may be available after 1:15 pm on the following days - Wednesday, June 5th, Thursday June 6th, Saturday June 8th and Sunday June 9th. Practice round fees are $ 60.00 which includes a cart.  Practice round fees are the responsibility of the player. 

 

Tee Markers: All play is from the WPGA WHITE tee markers (Approximately 6,700 Yards). Yardages will be contingent on course conditions.

 

Transportation/Caddies:  Automotive transportation is permitted for the qualifier and is included in the entry fee. Two carts will be permitted for threesomes and one cart per twosome. Players may bring their own caddies. Caddies must walk in performance of their duties. Push Carts are permitted for the Qualifier.

 

Lodging: Lodging of various price ranges can be found in the Gibsonia, PA area. 

 

Food: The WPGA provides water on course. Lunch will be provided after the round and is included in your entry fee. All other food and beverage charges are the responsibility of the player.

 

Footwear: METAL CLEATS ARE PROHIBITED. THE PENALTY IS DISQUALIFICATION.

 

Pace of Play: The maximum allowable time will be four hours and twenty minutes (4:20). The Pace of Play Policy can be found HERE.

 

Spectator Info: No spectator carts will be permitted for the competition without pre-approved ADA verification. Please contact the WPGA office for ADA guidelines. ADA carts are based on availability. Directions to the club can be found on the Treesdale Golf & Country Club website.
