Player Information Sheet

 

Format:

Championship Division (Handicap Index of 10.1 or less): 

 

Stroke Play

  • August 5th (Bayberry Hills Golf Course) and August 6th (Bass River Golf Course) – Stroke Play (18-holes/day).
    • The low 16 players will advance to Match Play competition on Wednesday, August 7th.
      • Any ties for the final Match Play qualifying place(s) will be determined by a hole-by-hole playoff, if needed on August 6th at Bass River Golf Course. 

Match Play

  • August 7th, Bayberry Hills Golf Course – Round of 16 (AM) and Quarterfinals (PM).
  • August 8th, Bayberry Hills Golf Course – Semifinals (AM) and Finals (18-holes) (PM).

 

 

Silver Division (Handicap Index of 10.2 or more): 36 Holes, Stroke Play (18 Holes each day)

August 5th - Bayberry Hills Golf Course | August 6th - Bass River Golf Course

 

Junior-Mite Division (Ages 13 & under): 18 Holes, Stroke Play (9 Holes each day). *If needed, ties for the Champions of each division will be determined using a sudden death, hole by hole playoff.

Rules of Play: The 2023 Rules of Golf are in effect and are supplemented by the Mass Golf Hard Card. The Committee will provide any additional Local Rules needed at the championship site. It is the individual player’s responsibility to know the Terms of the Competition.

 

Policies & Procedures: Please refer to the Mass Golf Policies & Procedures.

 

Spectator/Parent Policy: Please refer to the Mass Golf Junior Spectator/Parent Policy.

 

Caddies and Pull Carts: Caddies are NOT permitted per the Mass Golf Conditions & Regulations page. Players may bring their own push/pull carts.

 

Starting Times:

Rounds 1 & 2: Play will begin at 8:00 AM, in groups of three, at ten-minute intervals, off the 1st tee. Please be sure to be at the starting tee at least 10 minutes prior to your tee time to ensure that all proper instructions are received from the starter.

  • All yardage books (and greens guides) purchased through StrakaLine are compliant with the Rules of Golf and are permitted for use in Mass Golf championships.

 

Tees: The approximate yardages for each division (both courses) of the Championship proper can be found below.

Championship Division - approx. 5,500 yards              Silver Division - approx. 5,100 yards                                             Jr-Mite Division - approx. 2,000

 

Practice Rounds: Practice rounds will be available to competitors on Monday-Thursday (After 12pm). Players must call the pro shop to schedule their practice round tee time - no walk-up times will be available. Discounted $20 fee for the practice round. Discounted Practice rounds are for PLAYERS only - parents/supervisors may accompany competitors for normal public rate to play a round of golf with them.

Players may walk/preview either course on Sunday, August 4th, after 3pm (NO CLUBS/BALLS). Practice Areas will be open after 3pm on that Sunday.

 

Club Facilities: The golf shop and clubhouse will be open and available starting at 6:30 AM. 

 

Food & Beverage: Mass Golf will provide a luncheon for all players following their round each day. Additional food and beverage will be available for purchase at the players expense (cash and/or credit cards accepted). 

 

Practice Range: Bayberry Hills Golf Course has the only range available for this Championship. Players at either course may use the Bayberry Hills GC driving range open at 6:30am each day.
