Notice to Players
121st WPGA Open Championship
July 22-24, 2024
Indiana Country Club, Indiana, PA
Format: 54-holes of stroke play. The field will be cut to 32 & ties following the completion of Round 2. Play is governed by the USGA Rules of Golf. In the event of a tie for first place in the Championship, a hole-by-hole playoff will take place on holes to be determined by the Committee as soon as practicable following completion of play.
Championship Schedule:
Monday, July 22, 2024 – Round One, Starting times begin at 8:00 AM (18-Holes of Stroke Play)
Tuesday, July 23, 2024– Round Two, Starting times begin at 8:00 AM (18-Holes of Stroke Play)
Wednesday, July 24, 2024– Round Three, starting times begin at 8:00 AM for the top 32 and ties (18-Holes of Stroke Play)
Tee Markers: Play is from the WPGA WHITE tee markers. The course will play par 71 at roughly 6,600 yards depending on conditions and is subject to change.
Practice: Practice rounds are available for the Championship and are at the discretion of the Golf Shop. Please contact the golf shop at (724) 465-5222. The Golf Professional is Andrew Heffernan. The practice round is $65 if the player walks. Cart fees are additional if the player chooses to ride. Practice round fees are the responsibility of the player. Practice range balls are complimentary the morning of the competition.The practice range will open one hour prior to the first tee time each morning of the competition.
Transportation/Caddies: Walking is required for the championship. Players may bring their own caddies. Caddies must walk in performance of their duties. Caddie expenses are the responsibility of the player. Push carts are permitted for the competition. Spectator carts are not permitted for the Championship.
Footwear: Model Local Rule G-7 Prohibiting Use of Certain Types of Shoes is in effect. Shoes with traditional spikes or spikes of any design that are entirely or partially made of metal is prohibited.
Lodging: Lodging of various price ranges can be found in Indiana, PA.
Food & Beverage: Lunch will be provided for the players each day. Caddies may have lunch as well for a fee of $25.00. Bottled water will be available on-course during all rounds for both players and caddies. All other food & beverage charges are the responsibility of the player.
Pace of Play: The maximum allowable time will be four hours and twenty minutes (4:20). A four-point checkpoint system will be in place for the competition. Please review the WPGA Pace of Play Policy.
Evacuation Plan: In the event of a suspension of play for a dangerous situation, players should immediately return to the clubhouse or the nearest available shelter. In the event competitors are in these shelters during an immediate suspension of play, competitors and caddies are to remain in the shelters until the committee decides to either resume play or bring everyone back to the clubhouse.
Note: A suspension for a dangerous situation will be signaled by one prolonged air horn note. All other types of suspension will be signaled by three consecutive air horn notes, repeated. Resumption of play will be signaled by two short air horn notes, repeated.
