Welcome to the 115th Oregon Amateur Championship Qualifying!

 

 

Enclosed you will find your pairing and starting time for the 18-hole competition on Saturday, June 1^st  at the OGA Golf Course. There are 19(nineteen) spots into the 115th Oregon Amateur Championship at Oswego Lake CC, June 17 – 22, 2024.  In the event of a tie for the final qualifying spot, a hole-by-hole playoff will commence immediately following the return and verification of all scores. Alternates will be decided by order of finish from the playoff for any remaining spots and then by the method of matching scorecards.

Tournament Information and Results: Will all be provided digitally on the OGA’s website or through the Golf Genius App, GGID: 24ORAM1.

 

Qualifying: Players who make it through the 18-hole qualifying will automatically be added to the Championship field. The credit card used to register will be charged the additional $115.

 

Automotive Transportation: Players must not ride on any form of transportation during a round unless authorized by the committee. 

 

 

Practice: The OGA will host warm up range balls for contestants.

 

Practice Round: Players may call the pro shop, (503) 981-4653 x4 to make arrangements to play the golf course prior to the qualifier. All Contestants are responsible for any green fees for playing a practice round.

 

Caddies: You may bring your own; OGA GC will not have caddies available.

 

Food and Beverage: OGA GC will be open for food and beverages.

 

Prohibited use of Audio Equipment: Rule 4.3 is modified in this way: During a round, a player is not allowed to use an electronic device to listen to music or other audio (such as podcasts or the like), including by using headphones or earbuds. Penalty for breach of Local Rule - see Rule 4.3.

 

Dress Code: Proper attire must be worn at all times.  Proper attire does not include spandex body wear, cutoffs, running shorts, short-shorts, tank tops, tee shirts, or denim of any kind.  Neat and clean pants, slacks, cords, or appropriately hemmed, tailored shorts are acceptable, as are sweaters and golf shirts with a collar.  Shoes must be worn at all times.

 

OGA Pace of Play Guidelines: The OGA Pace of Play Guidelines will be in effect. OGA Pace of Play Guidelines are available on the OGA website.

 

Cancellations: It is extremely important that you contact the OGA office, 503-981-4653, as soon as possible if you are forced to withdraw from the Championship.  We expect all entrants to complete their rounds and fulfill their playing obligations.
