This event will be a two-day four-ball stroke play event with teams consisting of two juniors. A four-ball stroke play competition is when two players are partners; each playing his/her own ball until it is holed. The lower score between the two partners is recorded for each hole.

 

Eligibility:
Open to males and females who have not reached their 19th birthday by March 17, 2024 and are not attending college or technical school. Those juniors having graduated prior to 2023 are not eligible. Girls will play approximately 85% of the boys’ yardage. Both players must be a member of the VSGA or MAPGA Junior Tour in order to compete.

 

Exempt Sides

Exempt sides competing in the championship are required to submit an entry form with the entry fee of $250 per side by Monday, March 11, 2024

• Entry fee includes all course fees and lunch for all rounds of competition.
• The VSGA will negotiate a discounted practice fee with host club.

 

FORMAT

Preseason 18-hole Four-Ball events

• All non-exempt sides must signup to play in a preseason 18-hole Four-Ball event ($110 per side).
• The top five and ties from each preseason 18-hole four-ball event will advance to the championship.
• Those sides who advance to the championship may not switch partners for the championship.

 

Championship Proper:
36-hole four-ball stroke play competition (18 holes per day). A team can consist of two boys, two girls, or one boy and one girl.

 

Field Size/Tournament Make-Up: 
First 40 teams (80 players).

• Top 10 sides from the 2023 MAPGA/VSGA Junior Four-Ball Championship (if still eligible) will be invited to signup for the championship. Click here for past year's results.
• Top 5 sides and ties at each preseason 18-hole four-ball event will advance to the championship.
• After the final event, championship signup will open to the public. The remaining spots will be filled via a lottery.

 

Entry Fee/Deadline:
$250 per team which includes all course fees, range balls and lunch for each round.
Teams must sign up by Monday, March 11, 2024 at 11:00 PM.

 

Prizes:
The Champions will receive trophies. There will only be one overall division (no age groups).
