OPEN CASH PURSE CALCULATIONS (re: elite Amateur involvement)

As noted above, elite Amateurs may choose to pay an additional $100 to compete against the Pros in the ‘OPEN’ field for the Open Purse. They can win up to a $1,200 cash prize.  Their $100 fee paid will go directly into the “Open Purse”.

For Example: If 10 Amateurs decide to play in the ‘Open’ field vs. the Pros, the purse will increase from $24,000 to $25,000.

Every Amateur registering in the ‘Open’ field will count for ¼ Pro when considering the overall field size and purse payout.

For example:

If 60 Pros in field.  Purse payout = 35% = Top 21 paid out.

If 60 Pros + 10 Amateurs in Open field.  Purse payout = 35% of Pros = 21

plus 35% of Amateurs (10) x 1/4 = top 22 paid out

For this event, Male and Female Professionals and Amateurs playing in the Open Division will compete against one another for one overall Prize Purse. Female golfers will be provided with a shorter yardage equal to approx..85% of the Men’s yardage.

In all other Amateur Divisions (Champ/Senior/Div.1-3), if we receive 5 or more female entries in the division, we will have separate Male and Female Flights within the division. If we do not receive 5 or more female entries in these divisions, female Amateurs will compete vs. the Male Amateurs in their division, playing from approximately 85% of the Male yardage.

PRIZING & VGT GIFT CARDS:

Amateur Players will either win prizing or VGT GIFT CARDS for placing in the top 25% of their flight.  They can be cashed in at any time by shopping on our online store at www.myvgt.com

Players have until October 30, 2024 to cash in their VGT GIFT CARDS if they wish to bundle them up for larger purchases throughout the season!

PROGRESSIVE HOLE-IN-ONE JACKPOT RULES

  1. In order to qualify for the Hole-in-one (H.I.O) JACKPOT offered at a VGT event, a player must be entered into the $20 skins game/hole-in-one pot for that event.  If there is no winner of the hole-in-one at VGT event, the current hole-in-one pot will carry over to the next event until we have a winner of the jackpot.  If by the end of the Winter Tour the jackpot has not been won, the current jackpot will be carried over into the Summer Tour schedule.
  2. If the jackpot accumulates to $5,000, it will be cut-off at $5,000 and the first eligible person (see above) to score a hole-in-one on an eligible jackpot hole will receive the $5,000 payout.  A secondary Hole-in-one purse will be started as soon as the original jackpot reaches $5,000.  From the time the original purse reaches $5,000, moneys collected for the H.I.O purse will accumulate in this secondary pot while the first pot remains at $5,000. The secondary pot will continue to grow until the next eligible player scores a hole-in-one on the designated jackpot hole at a VGT event.  The maximum H.I.O purse paid out at any time will be $5,000, and once the pot has reached $5,000, a 3rd and 4th purse (and so on) will be established for future winners.
  3. Due to the skill difference of Pros versus the Amateurs in the field, we level the playing field for the JACKPOT two ways:
    1. By allowing the Division 1,2 and 3 amateurs to tee-off a shorter designated tee-box at various times compared to Professionals and Championship Amateurs.
    2. VGT hosts numerous Amateur only events where Amateurs have a chance to win the JACKPOT without Pros in the field.
