The Annual Tri-City Tournament, featuring some of the best female players from Cincinnati, Columbus, and Dayton, was hosted this year by Dayton Country Club on Tuesday, August 6th. This event employs a three-person format where each group includes one player from each city, competing in individual scratch match play. Points are awarded for each hole won, with halved holes earning half a point. Each player's total points contribute to their team's aggregate score, determining the overall winning team.
This year’s competition again showcased remarkable talent and sportsmanship, with the team from Dayton retaining the Tri-City Cup. They won the competition with a total of 309.5 points, surpassing Columbus with 262 points and Cincinnati with 238.5 points.
In the individual matches, the top points winners included eight ladies from Dayton: Leigh Baumgardner, Molly Horstman, Becky Krakowski, Megan White, Grace Nikolai, Marisa Alfes, Ellie Cronin, and Lilly Middleton. From Columbus, four ladies recorded the highest point totals in their matches: Regan Nolan, Wendy Klausing, Kelly Rauch, and Shelby Meikrantz. Three players from Cincinnati captured the most points in their matches: Stacey Hinkle, Carolyn Mindel, and Clare Yeazell.
Thanks to all of those who played and the members and staff of Dayton Country Club for their hospitality.
The team at Dayton CC is led by Stacy Black, Food & Beverage Director, Ryan D’Autremont, Golf Course Superintendent and Reed Black, Head Golf Professional.
