Event Resources: 

 

Entries: Entries for all USGA qualifiers must be submitted through the USGA website at USGA.org.

Eligibility:

Entries are open to Female amateur golfers who: (1) will not have reached their nineteenth birthday by midnight of July 20, 2024 and (2) have an up-to-date Handicap Index not exceeding 5.4 under the Rules of Handicapping. A current Handicap ID number (GHIN) issued through an authorized golf club is required and must be submitted on the entry form. The USGA accepts an up-to-date handicap issued from authorized national and regional associations around the world, that would be equivalent to a Handicap Index within the prescribed limit for entry into the Championship.

 

Tee Times: 

Tee times are now live on the event portal and can be viewed HERE.

 

Practice Rounds: 

Official practice rounds will be made available for all qualifier participants on Monday June 17 and Tuesday June 18 between 12:00 - 3:00 PM only. The practice round rate for those dates and times is $45 per player. Players may not book a practice round for either of those dates more than two weeks in advance. This means that the golf course will not book you a practice round until June 3rd. On Monday June 3rd you may contact the Palm Valley Golf Club pro shop to book a practice round on one or both of those days. Please make sure you tell the golf course representative that you are calling to book an official practice round when you speak to them on the phone at the time of booking.

  • Please be aware that due to limited number of tee times, players will be paired up with other players who are also playing practice rounds. You may not choose to play as a single unless no one else has a reserved spot in your designated tee time. 

 

Caddies:

Qualifying Rounds: A player may provide her own caddie. 

        *EXCEPTION: A player may not use a parent, step parent, or guardian as a caddie during qualifying or the Championship proper.

A player is not required to employ a caddie for any stage of the Championship.

 

Caddie Carts: 

While players are required to walk the course at all times per USGA rules and regulations, caddies are allowed to rent a golf cart to use for the qualifier. The cart rental fee at Palm Valley Golf Club is $25 and must be paid in the pro shop the day of the qualifier before a caddie will be allowed access to a golf cart.

 

Spectators:

Spectators will be allowed for the qualifier. Spectators must walk the golf course and remain on or close to the cart paths at all times. 

 

Projected Tournament Yardage:  Please note that the yardages below are only projected and are subject to change for a variety of reasons including but not limited to weather, course conditions, committee discretion, etc...

 

 

Golf Balls; Driver Heads:

Only brands of golf balls on the most current List of Conforming Golf Balls and driver heads on the most current List of Conforming Driver Heads may be used. Updated lists may be found on the USGA website at www.usga.org or by contacting the USGA Equipment Standards Department at (908) 234-2300. 

 

Clubs: Grooves:

Model Local Rule G-2 as prescribed in Section 8 of the Committee Procedures is in effect.

 

Withdrawal from Qualifying:

A player who wishes to withdraw from Qualifying must notify the USGA (908-326-1950 or via e-mail at champs@usga.org) and the Official in Charge (Tim Brand at tbrand@snga.org or 702-830-7972) prior to their scheduled qualifying round. Failure to do so may result in exclusion from future USGA competitions.

 

Transportation:

Players must walk during all Sectional and Championship proper rounds. But consistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), a disabled player may be permitted to use a golf cart as an accommodation to his or her disability for those events where golf carts are not allowed. As required by the ADA, the USGA will evaluate such requests on a case-by-case basis.
