INFORMATION FOR COMPETITORS – ST ANDREWS JUNOR LADIES’ OPEN
 


Registration
Competitors are requested to register at the Tournament Office, located in the portacabin near the 1st tee of the Eden Course from 09.00 - 16.00 on Sunday 4 August.

 

If you are unable to register in person on Sunday 4 August, please telephone the Tournament Office on +44 (0)1334 466725 prior to 14.00 to confirm your participation and then register, at the portacabin, prior to playing on Monday 5 August.

 

At registration each competitor will receive important information on using the Golf Genius App, Pace of Play, Local Rules and Catering arrangements.

 

Handicap Certificate:  

All competitors (except from Scotland, England, Ireland or Wales) must produce a current handicap certificate at Registration.  The handicap confirmed at registration will be used for ALL competitions throughout the week.

 

Golf Genius
All Tournament administration will be completed via Golf Genius (scoring, practice round booking, drawsheets and Tournament information).  This can be accessed via the Golf Genius App or the Tournament portal via our website. 

 

To access via the App, please download the Golf Genius App and access the Tournament information using the following GGID code – KBKFQQ.  Further information on how to register on Golf Genius can be found here.

 

Please ensure that prior to arrival, you have downloaded the Golf Genius App and on competition days, your phone is fully charged.

 

Practice Rounds

A courtesy practice round (for competitors only) is available as detailed below:

  • Sunday 4 August, Strathtyrum Course from 12.32 - 16.16 

 

You may book practice rounds, online, from 10.00 on Thursday 27 June, via the Tournament portal, or by email to boys-ladies@standrews.com. Once you are registered on the Golf Genius portal, you will see the practice round start sheets.

 

Details on how to book a practice round can be found on the practice round tab of the Tournament portal.

Any practice rounds prior to Sunday 4 August can be arranged in advance and normal green fees will apply.  Please click here to view the green fees on our website.

 

Order of Play

The Order of Play will be published via the Tournament portal around 2 weeks prior to commencement of the Tournament.

 

Play

Competitors are expected to acquaint themselves with the Local Rules - these, together with information on pace of play can be found on the Tournament portal.

 

Disputes or doubts may only be referred to Officials and members of the Organising Committee. In particular, rulings on the course may only be given by Officials.

 

Please play without undue delay as action will be taken against persistent slow play offenders.

 

Scoring
This will be completed via the Golf Genius App.

 

Recording
On completion of play in each round, ALL competitors should ensure they progress immediately to score recording (situated at the Tournament Office, located in the portacabin near the 1st tee of the Eden Course) and should not verify their score on the Golf Genius App until they have been advised to do so by the recording officials. For both digital and scorecard recording, both the players and markers signature must be recorded once scores are verified.

 

Live Scoring

Competitors will be using the Golf Genius App for scoring with an up to date leaderboard available on the Tournament portal.

Golf Academy
The Golf Academy bays and short game area, will be open for practice each day from 06.00 to 20.00 – standard rates apply.

 

Late Call-Off Procedure: Please notify the Tournament Officials on 01334 466725.

 

Car Parking
Free car parking is available in the Eden Clubhouse and St Andrews Links Clubhouse car parks.


Caddies
Caddies are not permitted during Tournament rounds.

Trolleys
Manually operated wide-wheeled trolleys will be available free of charge from the Starters. There is a limited supply of battery powered trolleys and they may be pre-booked by contacting
boys-ladies@standrews.com for £20 per day. Please note they will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis.  Trolleys are permitted at all times during the practice rounds, plus during the competition rounds.

 

Buggies

Subject to Committee approval prior to the Tournament commencing, the use of buggies will be allowed in the Tournament and may be taken on the Strathtyrum, Eden and Old Courses, by golfers with a medical certificate. In exceptional circumstances, such as a serious medical condition, a competitor may seek approval from the organising Committee once the Tournament has commenced.  A maximum of two buggies are available for hire on each Course and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. The hire fee is £20 per round and may be reserved via email to boys-ladies@standrews.com, subject to presentation of the required documentation.  All buggies are subject to availability and suitable ground conditions.  Further information and booking conditions, can be found on our website here 

Clubhouse Facilities
Full locker room facilities are available in both the Links and Eden Clubhouses.  A £1 payment (which is refundable) is required for the individual lockers.


Food and Drink
Snacks / meals will be available within Café Spike (Eden Clubhouse) or the Tom Morris Bar & Grill, located within the Links Clubhouse.

 

All competitors will be entitled to a two course meal, with a drink, from 11.00 on Monday 5 August.  Around 7/10 days prior to the Tournament commencing, we will send you a text to the phone number received on your entry form.  This will offer you instructions on how to download and receive your meal QR code.  This should then be presented to staff when you arrive at Café Spike for scanning – there is no requirement to print this off, just scan from your mobile phone.

 

Shuttle Bus
The courtesy shuttle bus will operate from the practice facilities to the Links Clubhouse and the Old Course – you can find further information via the website here)

 

Distance Measurement Devices

Distance measurement devices will be permitted (only measuring distance).

 

Photography / Filming
St Andrews Links has commissioned photographers and videographers for the day of the tournament. Photos and videos captured may be used for the purposes of promoting the club through our website, social media accounts, or other promotional materials. If you do not wish for your image to be published, please let us know by writing to boys-ladies@standrews.com.

Presentation of Prizes
The presentation of prizes will take place as soon as possible after close of play on Thursday 8 August at the Eden Clubhouse.
