Entry Fee:  $400 per team

TPA Fee: $375 per team

 

 

 

DATES:  November 10 - 11, 2024

FORMAT:  (Partners format is two players per team)  

Day 1:  18 holes of Four-Ball Stroke Play, under Rule 23, with modified Stableford scoring.
 

Day 2:  18 holes of Individual Stroke Play, modified Stableford scoring with aggregate score of partners.  Each partner receives 100 percent of her Course Handicap.   

 

Teams will choose which division they wish to compete in (Championship or Field) upon registration. Teams must compete in the Championship division if they wish to earn POY points.

 

FIELD SIZE:  80 players

 

REGISTRATION DEADLINE:  Monday, November 4, 2024 at 4 p.m.

 

YARDAGE:  Event yardage is posted on the website. 

                                                                                   

ELIGIBILITY:  All players must have amateur status and have an active membership with an AGA Member Club to participate.

 

HANDICAPS:  November 4, 2024 handicap revision will be used to determine flights (based on lowest player’s course handicap) and will be used for net competition.

 

Theme Days: We are having optional theme days for each round of the event. This is just a optional way to dress in theme and celebrate a fun event. Please see each round's theme below.

 

TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE:

Sunday, November 10

1:00 p.m. shotgun      First Round

 

Theme: Team Colors- Celebrate your team by wearing your favorite team colors. 

                                                    

Monday, November 11

9:00 a.m. shotgun       Final Round

 

Awards luncheon to follow. 

 

Theme: Tropical- Let’s bring the tropics to Arizona. Wear your favorite tropical themed golf outfits.

                                                                                   

PRACTICE ROUNDS:  Practice rounds will be available by calling the Oro Valley Golf shop at (520) 297-1121.  Please mention you are playing in the AGA event.  


PAIRINGS: Tournament pairings will be emailed to participants by end of day on Thursday, November 7.

 

PRACTICE FACILITY:  Will be available prior to play. 

 

CADDIES: Caddies are NOT permitted for the event.   

 

GOLF CARTS:  The use of golf carts is included in the registration fee; however, players are permitted to walk if interested.  AGA Cart policy (maximum of two riders per cart and maximum of two carts per group) will be enforced.  

 

In addition, the following policies will be enforced:

  • Spectator carts are not permitted for insurance reasons, NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • Carts are assigned only to contestants.  A caddie may use a cart only if a contestant is not displaced by such use.
  • Restrictions on cart use for players are at the discretion of the Host Site and all players are bound by those requirements, subject to withdrawal for violations of that policy.  Any such restrictions will be posted at the tournament site.
  • Carts must be kept on paths if available near greens and tees.
  • Any non-player riding with a player is considered a caddie and subject to any potential Rules violations.
  • Pull carts are permitted as long as not in conflict with the Host Club rules.

 

WITHDRAW POLICY: 

  • Players who withdraw prior to the close of registration will receive 75% of the entry fee, regardless of reason. (TPA members get 100% if they withdraw prior to close of registration.)
  • Players who withdraw after the close of registration and prior to 72 hours of the qualifier will receive 50% of the entry fee, regardless of reason.
  • Players who withdraw within 72 hours (3 days) of the first day of the event, will not receive a refund.

Players may withdraw by calling the AGA office (602) 944-3035 during normal business hours or calling the Withdraw Line at (602) 944-3035 ext. 210 and leaving a message.

 

PAYOUTS: Oro Valley Country Club gift cards will be given to top finishers. Specific payout amounts will be posted at the event.  Gift cards will be given out to winners following the event. There will be an overall Champion and overall Net Champion as well as gross and net prizes within each flight – with 33% of the flight being paid.
