FORMAT/QUALIFYING PLACES: Stroke play competition conducted over 18 holes. The field of 111 contestants will compete for 6 qualifying places and 2 alternate positions.

RULES: The Rules of Golf will govern play. Each competitor will be provided with a local rules sheet prior to starting play. The “One-Ball Rule” will NOT be in effect, and any ball used in making a stroke must be on the current List of Conforming Golf Balls issued by the USGA. This list is regularly updated and is found at www.USGA.org.
DISTANCE MEASURING DEVICES: For all USGA Qualifying (including Open Qualifying), the use of distance measuring devices to measure distance only is permitted. Please see the attached infographic for more information.
FOOTWEAR: It is a condition of the competition for this Local Qualifier that shoes with traditionally designed spikes are prohibited. Penalty for breach of this condition is disqualification.
CARTS & CADDIES: During the Qualifying Round on Sunday, April 30, you may not ride in a golf cart, but your caddie may transport your clubs in a cart. Pull carts are permitted. If you elect to have your clubs transported in a golf cart, your caddie is the only person allowed to ride in the cart. Players may utilize golf cart transportation for their practice round (must have valid driver’s license to drive).
PLAYOFF(S): If a playoff for qualifying or alternate positions is required, it will take place immediately after the final score is posted, beginning on a hole, and continuing in a hole sequence determined by the Committee until a winner is determined.
PRACTICE: Please contact Tamahka Trails Golf Club to schedule your practice round. Golf Shop phone number is 318-240-6300. The official practice round date is Saturday, April 29. One practice round allowed per competitor. Additional practice round dates and times may be available at the discretion of Tamahka Trails.
Range will be open one hour prior to first starting time on qualifying date (4/30).
MOBILE SCORING: We will utilize mobile scoring for this qualifier. Please download the Golf Genius app in the app store.
FOOD: The grill in the clubhouse will be open on the qualifying date. You can purchase F&B with cash or card.
