Championship Overview
Registration Fee: $240 per team
Registration Opens: April 18 at 9 a.m.
Registration Closes: May 16 at 11:59 p.m.
Format: 18-hole greensomes (selective drive, alternate shot) gross/net stroke play, 60 percent of low handicap and 40 percent of high handicap.
Eligibility: Open to father-son, father-daughter, mother-son and mother-daughter teams (children 19 to 29 years of age) and stepparent/stepchild teams. One member of a team must hold a verifiable USGA Handicap Index at a GAP member club. If each team member holds a verifiable index, then the team may compete for net prizes. Otherwise, it will be restricted to the gross competition only.
Teams are not permitted to play in more than one Parent-Child event each calendar year. Children turning 19 years old after the Parent/Child-Middle but before the Parent/Child-Younger must play in the Parent/Child-Middle. Children turning 30 years old after the Parent/Child-Middle but prior to the Parent/Child-Older must play in the Parent/Child-Middle.
Field Size: Limited to the first 100 teams registered.
Practice Rounds: Practice rounds have been made available for this event. Players are asked to contact the golf shop directly to inquire about open dates and times. The practice round fee is $88 per player and includes the cart fee.
Starting Times: Begin at 7:30 a.m. with 10-minute intervals. If field size warrants, morning and afternoon start on Nos. 1 and 10. A father may enter with two different sons. The rounds may not be played concurrently.
Automotive Transportation: Automotive transportation is required in this event. A $35 cart fee, which includes range balls, is included in your entry fee.
Prizes: Number of prizes (gross and net) determined by field size in each division (father-son, father-daughter, mother-daughter, mother-son)
Ties: All ties will be broken by using the USGA-recommended scorecard tie-breaking method.
