The following are matters pertinent to your participation in the 25th Metropolitan Junior Amateur Championship on June 11-13, 2024 at Aberdeen Golf Club:

 

The following supplements the Championship regulations in the 25th Metropolitan Junior Amateur Championship Entry Application and is in addition to the Terms of Competition and Notice to Players (prepared by the Committee and will be issued at the participants starting hole):

 

Format(s): 

  • 13U and 15U Divisions will be 36-holes at stroke play.

  • 19U Divisions will be 54-hole stroke play (no cut will be made).  

  

Golf Course Set-up: The Championship will be conducted at the yardages on the Course Setup Memo that can be found on the portal at this link: COURSE SETUP MEMORANDUM

 

Practice Rounds: Aberdeen GC will be available for practice by calling the golf shop to schedule a time.  There are a few days/dates that are not available, those are: June 7 & 9 (all day) and June 8 (PM).  Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are extremely busy with leagues.  Carts will be available at the player’s expense.  Players of age may rent OR parents of players may rent for the practice round.     

 

Pace of Play Policy: All players shall play by the parameters set down by the Committee in the Pace of Play Policy available on the portal: PACE OF PLAY POLICY

 

Footwear: Aberdeen Golf Club is a spikeless facility.  Shoes with traditionally designed spikes, comprised either partially or entirely of metal, are prohibited.  Penalty for breach of this condition: DISQUALIFICATION.

 

Scoring: The Golf Genius app will be used for electronic scoring.  Each player will get the scorecard of another player in your group; ONE player in each group will be asked to input scores for the group during the round. Automotive Transportation/Caddies: Automotive transportation is prohibited.  The Optional Condition, set forth is Appendix I of the USGA Rules of Golf, shall be in effect. A Player may provide their own caddie or carry his/her own clubs.  There are no restrictions as to who may caddie.

 

Spectator Carts: Spectator Carts will be available .

 

Groupings & Starting Times: Groupings will be repaired following each round based on score(s).    

 

Junior Golf Scoreboard: Results from the championship will be sent to the Junior Golf Scoreboard.
