Welcome to the 2024 Celebration!  This page is intended to provide information for Monday's 1pm shotgun start at Dayton Country Club.  If after reviewing the information you have questions, please email info@mvgolf.org 

 

  • Event Registration will begin at 11:30 am. (Lunch is Provided Prior to Round, Dinner Included Afterwards)

 

  • Dayton Country Club is located at 555 Kramer Road in Dayton, just off of Schantz Ave. Once you have turned onto Kramer Road you will find the entrance for the golf club located on the right side of the street. For detailed driving directions to the club, please click this LINK TO GOOGLE MAPS

 

  • The Practice Facility is located on the west side of the parking lot and just down the slope from the back of the Clubhouse. For those wishing to warm up prior to the round it is suggested that you give yourself an additional 20 minutes of time.

SCORING

 

There will be two ways to return your official scorecard. Electronic, which is the preferred method, or the printed scorecard. Scorecards will be accepted for 45 minutes after the first Electronic Scorecard is returned upon which time all scorecards will be certified and results announced. 

 

Format of Play: 18 Holes of 1-2-3 Better Ball Play

     

One (1) best net score will be used on all Par 5’s

Two (2) best net scores will be used on all Par 4’s

Three (3) best net scores will be used on all Par 3’s

LOCAL RULE FOR STROKE AND DISTANCE PENALTIES IN EFFECT

 

The Local Rules and Conditions of Competition have been updated to reflect the current revisions within the rules of golf and our competitions committee has also decided to adopt the Local Rule for a Ball that is Lost or Out of Bounds (E-5) for this event.

This Local Rule does not prevent you from playing a provisional ball and in most cases it is still wise to do so.  This local rule is not available to the first ball when you put a provisional ball into play.

HANDICAPS

 

Handicaps were determined using the Friday, September 13th revision.

1pm - Shotgun Start  
After Play - Scoring and Dinner 

 

 

OPTIONAL SKINS GAME

 

$20 Optional Individual Skins Game is available and with both Low Net and Low Gross Divisions. Only cash will be accepted for the skins contest.
