Practice Rounds: Official practice round information, including rates, dates and times, and restrictions on when you may contact the course to book are below:

  • Practice round rate is $125 per player. Includes greens fee and cart.
  • Players may not contact the course to book a practice round until 6 days prior to the date they wish to play. This is the courses unaccompanied guest booking policy to allow for members to have first access to tee times.
  • To book a practice round you must contact Assistant Golf Professional Evan Swieczkowski. You can contact him via phone at (702) 256-0222 or by email at (evanswieczkowski@pgatourtpc.com).
  • Practice round date options are as follows:
    • Tuesday through Friday, July 29-August 2. Times based on course availability.
    • No Saturday practice rounds available.
    • Sunday August 4 - Practice rounds only available after 12:00 PM.

 

Caddie Carts: Caddie carts will be available to rent. The golf course cart rental fee is $45. Caddies will be the only person allowed to ride in a golf cart if they choose to rent one. Players are required to walk the golf course per USGA rules and regulations.

 

Spectators: Spectators are permitted and must walk the golf course at all times and remain on or as near as possible to the cart paths at all times. There will be NO spectator carts available and there are no exceptions to this policy.

 

Projected Yardages: Please note that the below yardages are only projected and are subject to change the day of the qualifier for a variety of reasons including but not limited to course conditions, weather, committee discretion, etc..

 

  • NOTE: Hole #3 will play as a par 4 for purposes of this qualifier making the total course par 71.

 

 

Eligibility:

Entries are open to amateur golfers who will have reached their twenty-fifth birthday by September 21, 2024 and have an up-to-date Handicap Index based on ratings for men not exceeding 2.4 under the USGA Handicap System. A Handicap Index must be issued from a "golf club" (as defined in the USGA Handicap System Manual) that is authorized to use the USGA Handicap System. The USGA accepts an up-to-date handicap issued from the international body of golf that would be equivalent to a USGA Handicap Index within the prescribed limit for entry into the Championship. For this Championship, ant reference to gender applies to all genders.

 

Golf Balls; Driver Heads:

Only brands of golf balls on the most current List of Conforming Golf Balls and driver heads on the most current List of Conforming Driver Heads may be used. Updated lists may be found on the USGA website at www.usga.org or by contacting the USGA Equipment Standards Department at (908) 234-2300. See Model Local Rules G-1 and G-3. The one ball Rule as prescribed in Section 8 of the Committee Procedures is in effect. See Model Local Rule G-4.

 

Clubs: Grooves:

In Sectional Qualifying and in the Championship proper, the Local Rule as prescribed by Section 8 of the Committee Procedures is in effect. Model Local Rule G-2.

 

Caddies:

Qualifying Rounds: A player may provide his own caddie. If he wishes to have the host club furnish a caddie, he should ask the Official in Charge because sufficient caddies may not be available at the host club.       

A player is not required to employ a caddie for any stage of the Championship.

 

Withdrawal from Qualifying:

A player who wishes to withdraw from Qualifying must notify the USGA (908-326-1950 or via e-mail at champs@usga.org) and the Official in Charge (Tim Brand tbrand@snga.org or 702-830-7972) prior to their scheduled qualifying round. Failure to do so may result in disqualification from future USGA competitions.

 

Performance in Qualifying:

If a player fails to return a score within 10 strokes of the USGA Course Rating, future entries for a U.S. Open, U.S. Amateur, U.S. Mid-Amateur, or U.S. Senior Open Championship may be declined if documentation is not provided demonstrating that the player is capable of competing at the national championship level. Please note that players who "no card" are subject to receive a letter from the USGA under the same guidelines as those who do not return a score within 10 strokes of the course rating.

 

Transportation:

Players must walk during all Sectional and Championship proper rounds. But consistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), a disabled player or caddie may be permitted to use a golf cart as an accommodation to his or her disability for those events where golf carts are not allowed. As required by the ADA, the USGA will evaluate such requests on a case-by-case basis.
